Bullet Cam Test

Unfortunately, filming drives will leave you open to critic.

I think Arch needs to wind his neck in a tad, and no matter what the rights and wrongs of the moves 15-20's in to the film, had a Policeman been behind you then I'd bet the moves would have shown more caution.

Often queues of stationary cars have odd movements, someone might get fed up and pull out, someone walking a dog could have walked out.

Driving is about fun, Arch I'm sure you (like any good driver) have been guilty of taking mild risks on the road. If you haven't then I doubt you do justice to the car you drive.

Chill and happy Xmas

Soooo then back on topic....

Sam do you need a video camera as well or does this bullet cam plug into a recording device and off you go? Might get one for Le Mans next year. How much recording can you do on it?

It fits into the AV port of most mini dv cameras, talk to David at www.fastfilms.co.uk (tell him a Scumballer sent you), you'll get some good advice, he really helped me out. (sorry mods if this sounds like a plug). 169144-ok.gif

I have a little Solid State recorder jobbie. Was about £100 then you add as many SD cards as you want. You get about an hours recording per GB of SD card 169144-ok.gif

Glad to see you got a bullet cam sorted Sam. Like someone else said, you can get a suction mount which will work on the outside of the car also, which means you can mount it lower to give an illusion of speed (easy Arch, I said ILLUSION). The mount is very strong but its recommended that you use some sort of safety strap. This is on my snowboard.

I think I got mine from the same place you are talking about. Happy filming 169144-ok.gif

only thing is I'd be petrified of that camera mount falling off the car even though I'm sure its quite secure!

I stuck mine to the "Next Directory" (a very heavy hardback catalogue) and held it by the mount arm. There was no hint of it coming unstuck whatsoever. As Dan said though, it is worth having a secondary safety strap in case the worse happens 169144-ok.gif
