Adam
[ QUOTE ] I spoke to a dealer today. He told me that his group(sytner audi) won't do any discounts at all on New RS4s. Nothing... [/ QUOTE ] does not surprise me, to be honest I am still surprised at the deal I got as I am sure they could have sold my car at list. Maybe just a combination of advance dealer orders / dealer owing me a favour at the time / end of financial year / presence of another car at another dealer to compete against. Merlot
There are a lot of RS4's for sale. Discounts are easy.

Merlot
The best I was offered Gareth was 7-8% but that was a couple of months ago when the dealer still had allocation. I suspect that the discount would be less now.

Merlot
That was on a factory order rather than a physical car. Let me ring him tomorrow and find out the SP. What are you ideally after? Are you ditching the idea of a new M3? Interestingly whilst this month's EVO is very keen on the R8, the 0-100mph was only a tad quicker than that for the RS4. Whenever I buy a car or think about buying one I work out worst case scenario of how much I could loose. Its still a factor but I wont let it rule my decision now. What I need to consider is, will it be better than my current car, is a new CSL on the way and will it look the balls in white with blk wheels! Merlot
That's why I'm now in a three year old 645 Gareth. The exchange rate is currently two 2nd hand 645's to one new M3 with all the toys. Makes you think.

Merlot
Definite? Nothing is! I was looking around for something cheap to keep for a few months to two years and the 645 fitted the bill but it could have been anything 2nd hand with a big engine really. Anyway the decision now is Manual M3 this autumn or Paddle shift one next spring or keep the 645 - see my M3 topic on that forum.
EssFour
Its definite when monies/keys have been exchanged and its sitting in the garage. I can't keep up with what car your after from one day to the next.
Merlot
Don't start this on me - I had enough of it last week where several people doubted I owned the four cars I said I did so I had to post pics to get the pack off my back. I don't understand the problem - I said I was after another car and bought the 645. I have the M3 on order (and nothing else) but like a few others I have to decide what to do given that the likely most popular gearbox is not available for the first eight months or so. [/ QUOTE ] I completely understand, I also have a very low boredom threshold, and I do genuinely enjoy the search for a new car. I was the same with the new M3, was definitley going to be in one of the first, then realised it was manual only, so now would want to wait, and then relaised it was £60k and you start to think 'Hold on, what about a used R8 next year, maybe the RS5 will be stunning, could be in a nice C2S for that money.....etc. etc. etc.'
