Adam
[ QUOTE ] make sure you sue... [/ QUOTE ] Here is an idea - sort it out amicably with the guilty supplier to your full satisfaction with perhaps a gesture of additional compensation and accept a sincere apology and move on. Such kneejerk crap will turn this country into a litiginous mess like the US and just ends up costing us all a lot more in insurance premiums. UBM - glad to hear all is ending OK and the builder is responding as they should.
UBM
They are now removing the tiles from the canopies of 84 houses on the estate as a safety measure, as we speak - i can see them now. Things are getting better - apart from the brand new dishwasher having to go back as it does not clean dishes....
UBM
BTW - We are not the sort of people to sue or threaten legal action. We both work hard for a living and the builder is really going out of their way to help. I remember when I worked in the US and I had to sign a waiver when I ordered a Jalfrezi in the curry house... drpellypo
Agree - the last thing we want to do is end up like the US. It's already costing the NHS a fortune, and others are soon to follow no doubt. Would you believe a chap sued the A&E consultant that gave him CPR, as he was clinically dead, hence reviving him, for breaking his ribs whilst doing chest contractions? And that's just one of many cases.
