VTEC_Killer
LOL I think Ferrari have both titles in the bag; I can just see McLaren accuse the Fezza's of cheating 6 - 8 races in!
fizzbitt
Nahh... MS aint there now so there wont be any issue of cheating.
Thorburn
[ QUOTE ] Very sad to see Anthony Davidson in the Super Aguri this year. Even though he's got a drive, I reckon his career will never really start in anger and fizzle out to nothing. [/ QUOTE ] I thought the idea was to get him a years racing experience and them have him as a potential replacement for Barrachello?

bazza_g
[ QUOTE ] I reckon it's completely wide open this year. Anyone in a Ferrari, McLaren or Renault could win it this year. Just as long as it's not a Honda in their, erm, "interesting" colour scheme... [/ QUOTE ] have you made your pledge to get your name in tiny print on the car? CarMad
Well an interesting start already.. I bet Honda aren't too happy at this. Renault had fueling problems apparently. However it does look close at the top and BMW seem to be carrying the pre-season form on for the practice at least. Oh and Neil will be happy with Williams looking good against Toyota's performance... Get it on your planners now the F1 season is starting tomorrow. 1 Felipe Massa Ferrari 1:27.353 2 Kimi Räikkönen Ferrari 1:27.750 3 Lewis Hamilton McLaren-Mercedes 1:27.829 4 Giancarlo Fisichella Renault 1:27.941 5 Nick Heidfeld BMW 1:27.970 6 Alexander Wurz Williams-Toyota 1:27.981 7 Fernando Alonso McLaren-Mercedes 1:28.040 8 Nico Rosberg Williams-Toyota 1:28.055 9 Robert Kubica BMW 1:28.281 10 David Coulthard Red Bull-Renault 1:28.495 11 Anthony Davidson Super Aguri-Honda 1:28.727 12 Jarno Trulli Toyota 1:28.921 13 Takuma Sato Super Aguri-Honda 1:29.009 14 Jenson Button Honda 1:29.066 15 Rubens Barrichello Honda 1:29.542 16 Ralf Schumacher Toyota 1:29.574 17 Mark Webber Red Bull-Renault 1:29.801 18 Heikki Kovalainen Renault 1:30.097 19 Scott Speed STR-Ferrari 1:30.383 20 Christijan Albers Spyker-Ferrari 1:31.108 21 Adrian Sutil Spyker-Ferrari 1:31.175 22 Vitantonio Liuzzi STR-Ferrari 1:31.

Teacake
The two Super Aguri-Hondas above the two Hondas, and the two Williams-Toyotas above the two Toyotas, that's got to be embarassing...
CarMad
Your not kidding, that won't go down well at all if it stays like that. My prediction is for Kimi to win the title with Hamilton finishing in the top 3. Williams and BMW will shock a few people early season. Honda and Jenson will be playing catch up again and there will be a big fight brewing about the customer type teams.
Teacake
Think you might be right. However, it's going to be exceedingly dull if the Ferraris just romp home in every race.

[/ QUOTE ] That my friend is how the 2006/7 season is going to pan out. Nearly 0.5s between pole and 2nd Thats after just one lap on race fuel and not a Schumacher in sight. OK we do not konw if Ferrari short fuelled but assuming the front two grids are within 2 lpas of one another. It does not look good for the others. CarMad
Who knows what the stratergy is though. Cracking performance by BMW / Heidfield they look like they might be a force to be reckoned with this season. Button, well its not him is it looks like they have created yet another dude, was hoping he might get a good chance this year. Hamilton is certainly going to be up at the sharp end and doesn't look to be second best to Alonso, cracking performance. Kimi is looking as good as ever, he looks effortless driving it round into pole.
RedRobin
Having seen Quali, it's all shaping up into some very close and exciting competition. Hamilton was simply outstanding but it's still very early days. I feel sorry for Massa's bad luck.
