Cupramax
lmao, we regularly used to get a few comedians from that forum coming onto SEATCupra.net baiting with MG vs Cupra threads. Of course the ZR/S/T was ALWAYS quickest...
TDiAvant
[ QUOTE ] I have played with a couple of cossies when in my espace (V6 2.9 145bhp), lost to one, the other blew his engine. I also beat a BMW B30 Alpina from a set of lights, 1/4 through a roundabout and another 1/4 to a drop in speed limit to 50 mph where I backed of to 50, he came flying past. [/ QUOTE ] Were the cosworth & BM reversing at the time.. what a bunch of w@nkers

drpellypo
How very random. I whipped a cayenne coming onto the coastroad yesterday. I suspect he was reading a book or something at teh time however.
EssFour
[ QUOTE ] Ferrari 350 (off the lights in a traffic jam in Paris) Porsche 911 Turbo (off the lights in a traffic jam in Paris) [/ QUOTE ] Knowing Paris it was probably peak time and it was bumper to bumper. So his 180 probably got ahead be a few inches. Hence the classification he blew it from a set of lights.........
Milo
My neighbour has an 05 plate Rover ZTT diesel estate thingy. Bit of a sleeper by all accounts then, I wouldn't mind seeing that move. Neither would he mind, it's been parked up broken for about 4 weeks.

Milo
I'm not sure to be honest. I've never been able to get a good look at one as they're always passing me at warp speed.

Add to it the 145bhp MG ZS that beats E46 M3's, 911 Turbo's and Ferrari F355's....and I think I might have to get one.

steelwind101
HA!! My cousin had the littke one based on the Rover 200 with 3 doors and 115BHP and it really was slow and under powered. I suppose the 400 with 180BHP would be quick but when all said done the gearbox and the engine (probably more like 130) are all from Rover who never won any thing for being good in recent yrs?? At least they havent beaten any V8 cobras....!!
fizzbitt
just had a looksee on parkers for the ZS180 stats... 176bhp 0-60 in 7.3 Max Speed = 139 yeah... he really would have 'shown' that RS4 a thing or two im sure..
sayerbloke
[ QUOTE ] 176bhp 0-60 in 7.3 Max Speed = 139 [/ QUOTE ] 7.3s from 176bhp in a car the shape/weight of the ZS? I'd have guessed closer to 8 myself, but I suppose Parkers know what they're doing. But as you say, I wouldn't have thought the RS4 would need to change gear to see it off. activa
Your Civic will no doubt blow it into the bushes,I wouldn't take too much notice of those dubious figures. Question is,how long before the Rover owners all see this thread via Google and join the debate? Remember the 300ZX boys many moons ago!
fizzbitt
hehe... the 300ZX owners on the whole are a great laugh. We (toyota owners club) had our club stand right next to theirs at the JAE weekend event a couple of years back. Most of them were huge burly blokes with some very tasty motors who enjoyed a lot of beer and a laugh.
