theduisbergkid
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/JAGUAR-XJR-4-0-SUP...1QQcmdZViewItem I've always liked these, quick, comfortable and a bit different. Bloody cheap now too it would seem. OK, its a bit Arthur Daley, but with 322 BHP, I could live with it... Opinions ?
cruiser647
Very nice old barge. If I hadn't got the A8, the XJ would have been a close 2nd/3rd. Still a great looking motor.

theduisbergkid
Yeah, it does have rather an old man image (but then again, I do own a Volvo), not sure about reliability Kite, I though these were fairly sorted ? kite
work mate has had all sorts go wrong and still loves the car, he drives like Miss Daisy. Air con compressor, leccy windows, exhaust. He spends a lot of time on the web buying bits from breakers. Mind you its a 6 cylinder not the V8

DaveJ
HaHa Had one years ago when they were new ... followed by a V8. I was young enough then not to care about the 'old-man' image - and anyway it was Clarkson’s Fav car .. and quite a cool motor. The 6 Cyl was turquoise with cream and the V8 black with cream. I loved those cars bloody fantastic performance and great handling. Dubious image ... but fantastic cars .... not sure about them now they are 10+ years old though !!!! The V8 is MUCH MUCH better than the Six

DaveJ
Agreed it will be down on ponies .... But the 6 Cyl had SOOOO many faults WHEN NEW !! a 14 year old car will be ..... challenging !
