Turtle Wax Silicone Blades

After reading about the blades, I bought a Turtle Wax one before Christmas.

I used it about 5 or 6 times and I have now stopped. It has created thousands of tiny scratches where it was used to remove the water.

Before I used it I always ensured that the blade was free of any dirt etc. I do have a Brilliant Black car, so I know that scratches show more easily, but I was not impressed.

Since noticing the scratches, I have had to do 2 applications of both Scratch X and Meguiars polish, and they have nearly gone.

My advise is to check on a small area of your car before using.

Hmmm, I bought one of the Turtle Wax blades before Christmas too Moff.

Used it once on the car and wiped the blade on a cloth between each wipe. I didn't notice any scratches (my car is Ming Blue == dark), but it's not exactly been the best weather here for looking for that kind of thing.

I'll take a look next time I wash the car (when the temperature crawls above zero next) and see if I can see anything.

Thanks for the heads-up!

S3Bangs, where can I buy one of these? I thought it was a fantastic idea and would love to use it again as long as it doesn't scratch confused.gif

Anyone with a black car using one of these?
