Moff S3
After reading about the blades, I bought a Turtle Wax one before Christmas. I used it about 5 or 6 times and I have now stopped. It has created thousands of tiny scratches where it was used to remove the water. Before I used it I always ensured that the blade was free of any dirt etc. I do have a Brilliant Black car, so I know that scratches show more easily, but I was not impressed. Since noticing the scratches, I have had to do 2 applications of both Scratch X and Meguiars polish, and they have nearly gone. My advise is to check on a small area of your car before using. S3Bangs
Dont know bout the Turtle wax blades Moff but I'm pretty sure most people use the Hydra Blade brand of which I have one, and have not had any problems with it since I started using it a while back. s4dreamer
Hmmm, I bought one of the Turtle Wax blades before Christmas too Moff. Used it once on the car and wiped the blade on a cloth between each wipe. I didn't notice any scratches (my car is Ming Blue == dark), but it's not exactly been the best weather here for looking for that kind of thing. I'll take a look next time I wash the car (when the temperature crawls above zero next) and see if I can see anything. Thanks for the heads-up! s4dreamer
Moff, try here . May be able to get it cheaper - but that's the first site I found using "Hydra blade" in a Yahoo (UK only) search.
