Good news for VW.. and who can blame them.. innovate design and quality product... how Ford and Vauxhall must look on in despair.

Vauxhall are doing very well sales wise, its the US division within GM thats the problem at the moment.

VW's share price has been very low for a long time so it could do with going up, its the work that Pischestrider did in sorting out the new agreements with the unions thats also helping to cut costs dramatically. They need to get the new Golf platform out now to make even more. 169144-ok.gif

The situation with Ford (as in ordinary Ford and not PAG with the dead weight that is Jaguar) isn't a million miles away from that either. FoE is just about doing ok and elsewhere is letting the side down.

In both cases the real mess is being created by the US with it's strong union, legacy care costs and some rather interesting approaches to marketing and costs.

Plus plenty of woeful product of course NONO3.GIF

Boost sales of VW group cars, probably yes.

But sales of the Veyron contributing towards group profits Flush.gif

It's interesting that, since Porsche (the most profitable car manufacturer in terms of %ge profit against sales revenue) took yet more share ownership of VW, the business is being turned around...
