Just reading a few of the posts about replacing runflats. The bloke at the tyre place said one of his customers changed his Z4 to non runflats and "it handled like pig", so he changed them back to runflats. Barry, Gizzie what do you think which tyres did you use, and what about those faulkens..............anyone know?

I have never heard anyone say that swapping teh run flats has made the ride worse!!

Falken FK452's are great, best value tyre out there, the PS2's are far more progressive so they let go alot easier but you can control it easier too, the Falkens hold on alot longer but then suddenly let go, like most tyres do, difference is they tend to hold on longer.

PS2's would be my first choice, then Falkens after that.

no,all the same size,8.5/19" with 235/35 tyres, tbh im not realy a fan of deep dish wheels.

i had a play last night with some washers on the rears to see what size spacers ill need and i think 5-8 or maybe 10mm will transform the way it looks at the rear.

mark at bmautosport took some pics and they are on the site under new wheels 19" alpinas, have a look if you have a minute and give me your honest opinion because im not sure, although they are growing on me.

yeah, if you put a 10mm spacer on you will get it down to an ET of 30mm.

The OEM has and offset of 34mm, however it is also 1/2" wider which is 13mm wider, so with a 10mm spacer you would be sitting with 10mm more clearance on the inside and sticking out 2mm less than OEM.

A 12mm spacer would give you 12mm more clearance on the inside ( duh! smile.gif ) and would make your wheel sit in the same position as the OEM 19" wheel.

Some of the americams put 10mm spacers on the OEM wheels to fill the arches more, so you could easily go to 22mm spacers for a more agressive look.

But stick with 12mm for the OEM look, 15mm for a smidge more (but you probably won't be able to tell) or maybe 18mm for a slightly more agressive look?
