Mclaren F1 GTR - being delivered to one of the uber houses near me this morning.

Mint.

Shame they were pushing it, I would have enjoyed hearing that running.

Wow!

If you saw where it went, drop a handwritten letter off asking for a nose sometime. Am sure a proper collector would relish showing their collection off to someone who would appreciate it.

That's #07R:

Built for Giroix Racing Team ("GRT Jacadi") for BPR in 1995, finished 13th in teams championship. Finished 5th at 1995 24 Hours of Le Mans. Sold to Larbre Compétition for Le Mans but never raced. Eventually converted for road use, sold to Larry Kinch, since sold to Andrew Pisker, UK.

Likes his cars:

So it isn't an original LM as intended from the factory then?

GTR's tend to get converted to road cars as they sell for a higher price.

More like "5" or "6" or maybe something scarily European like DGSE or FSB or GSG9...

...or McLaren. :uhoh:

That is a spot and a half! Amazing to think the history behind the car and the value will be silly figures. +++

I saw it race at Donington in 95. Driven by Fabien Giroix and Deletraz. A memorable race for many reasons, including watching part of it stood next to, and talking to the late and much missed Russell Bulgin.

Think the colour is Papaya Orange. Bruce Orange doesn't have quite the same ring to it.....
