  1. Depends on what you need - I will use a laptop for proper stuff and that for basic browsing and so much more portable. Personally that is subtle and useful. Have to say every time I see someone with an iPad out and about it hardly looks conspicuous and portable (Bag etc for it)
  2. Well so far my first Alfa has not put a foot wrong (bar from being very slow after the RS4) and am still impressed with it as a package. The sporty Giulietta does look nice and frankly anything after this will feel fast!! Might be tempted in 6 months or so??
  3. Is it best on Xbox or PC?? or same really?
  4. Been a few years since I was last there but wow was that night a good one at the Voodoo lounge!! Seems it was /is the place all the airline stewardesses hang out when they want to have fun!!
  5. Yeah all the usual BUT must haves for me were / are :- Crazy Horse III (the old Crazy Horse too closed down sadly) If it's anything like the old one then SO worth a visit!!!!! :D VooDoo Lounge at Rio - Club on the 50th / 51st floor (outside and inside) Fantastic views and people.
  6. I like it - right size again rather than the a4 size ipad. AND after fighting itunes AGAIN today for a friend not used thank god..............
  7. Not it would seem !!!! Well done Alonso and Weber.
  8. How can Teacake and myself argue if there is no thread!! Someone is slacking!! So will Lewis remember he is not driving in a demolition derby today? Will Alonso have another tantrum if everything does not go his way? Will Jenson actually get out of third gear and race? Will Webber and Vetel have another in race "issue" ? Watch out for those "banned" team orders eh........... See you all later.
  9. What the F@ck Car lashes !!!!!!!!!! Stumbled across this today had to check it was not April 1st ??? CarLashes: the kitschest car accessory - Telegraph
  10. Aspirational drug dealers comes to mind or 3rd division footballers wives!
  11. Buying some stuff on the tinternet and they want payment using Alertpay?? Never used and a quick google throws up lots of people saying they are a scam or have been used by scam people?? Anyone used them without issues? For reference it's an on line cig discount site based in the "UK" selling 200 for approx £25 including delivery - know it's a grey area on customs etc but prob worth a punt on a carton to see if all OK as retail here is £60 ish. Any thoughts? Ta
  12. Looks nice - sleeker than most current BMWs - dare I say it a bit Jaguar looking!!!! Not on my radar though.
  13. I think apple just halved the market really, those who actually need a laptop and those who don't. Granted some people will have both but not the majority.
  14. Yeah silly money being talked about for this but still like the form factor suits my needs well. Same sort of size as my ebook with added features. Phone size of choice is a bog standard nokia choc block which is next to useless for me browsing the web so this fits nicely for me.
  15. Samsung Galaxy Tab preview -- Engadget Samsung GALAXY Tab Hands on: Samsung Galaxy Tab review | News | TechRadar UK Smaller than the iPad so good for me, seems a bit expensive but will wait and see how that works out. Do like the Ipad but this size wise is spot on for me. think it would be more useful! Keep my phone for what it was meant for "being a phone" and texts and this for the gaps between that and a laptop.
  16. Liberal usage of the ugly stick when making that!! Those wheels look like bargain bucket from halfords
  17. Yeah but it's half the size of the RS6 so good in my mind. just not liking the £40k price tag!!
  18. Presume you mean 1200 kilobytes per second ? if so then that would be twice his potential max speed anyway (9 plus megabits) so not much point. Have to say never understood paying for a "free" thing? Just wait a few hours and job done!! PS you think ISP do not log Usenet traffic??
  19. Would have to be a very popular seeded torrent to take up all that. Having said that "a friend" downloaded a popular movie recently and it got up to 500 something kB/s for a while which is actually almost 4Mb /s but you can just set the max download speed as say 200kB/s which would leave the rest free for browsing. BT not all about speed really eh.
  20. Should be fine sponge. My Father is also a fair way from the exchange and only gets about 4Mbps. Browsing is fine and even updates etc don't seem that slow. With Torrents it would never use all that bandwidth on download, you might want to adjust his max upload settings though on BT client as that sometimes gets a bit sluggish when seeding. If he is not into large single downloads then doubt he will worry.
  21. In fairness there does seem to be a bit of a snap at any form of criticism of the new look and feel of this site, perhaps the orig poster was specifically asking the other A8 users what they thought? They do have a voice as well eh? Any other comments on this subject will be posted in the correct thread sir I promise..............
  22. Def but suspect his decision was the best one, esp as they both knew Lewis was on a big fat ZERO
  23. Good result today for Ferrari but must admit would personally have sooner seen Button, Massa, Alonso, Webber. Great for the title race though eh
