  1. And the emissions are so low its in the lower taxation bracket (same as my wifes 1.4 Touran!)
  2. I saw the official audi bulletin today confirming all the details of the A4 2.0T in 2wd and Quattro guise. It will be available to order in June and has an otr of 30K for the Q (about 1500 less for the 2wd). Impressive emissions etc with the dual cam lobe engine pushing it in band E (£170 per year) and D for the 2wd. Think it is 215PS (ish) and returns over 40 mpg on combined cycle. it IS OFFICIAL !!
  3. Cancelled mmy order now anyway, and I didnt by my 3.2 new so its bout a 2.5K drop. After an S3 runabout now.. SHould get a reasonable discount on it unlike TT
  4. yes... they bid about £26K on it so I may punt it privately.
  5. I have also ordered a TTS in Phantom black with BT prep and nav...
  6. the solar sunrood slides and tilts the same as the glass roof. It is not see through so when closed. It looks likw it is just glass from the outside and closer inspection you can see the cells.. Its great!
  7. 3.2 TT coupe. Just cant justify the car with the type of driving I am doing at the moment. 90% motorway comute.
  8. Mine is going into Derby Audi next week and the deal is pretty much done. The solar cell sunroof is really good actually keeps the fans going in the car powered wy sunshine so its cool when you get into it!.. Michael, PM me with an offer if you like.. Looking for about 44 to pull me out of the part ex
  9. I am selling my RS4 saloon 07, 12K miles Phantom Black. Its due to go into the dealers next week.
  10. its a bit hit and miss in my experience. Sometimes it is spot on (road closed etc) but delays are not accurate and on the M4 I have ignored it and found no issue and the re route would have added 20 mins. Of course, its dependant on the traffic master system so its not an rns or audi issue..
  11. I agree with Dave, I much prefer the recaros and you dont get the bolster colapsing thing either. Tried both cars at lenght and IMO the Recaros are nicer although the buckets are more 'track day' hugging...
  12. no problem with phatnoise; i upgraded all the firmware from phathack.com links first but it doesnt do text and never has so I am not sure what you mean. Phatnoise voice announces thr albums and tracks etc.
  13. about 4 quid on a full fill... shouldnt break the bank on a 50K car???
  14. i fitted the mfd2 to my wife's 07 touran and also phatnoise. works ok but is nowhere compared to the RNS-E Bose combo in the RS but its a whole lot cheaper!. Hope they offer you a better part ex than they did for me!
  15. Would never use supermarket fuel (and I know you had no choice!).. but I stick to the clean stuff.
  16. I think there is a hard difference between the two. I have both after my retrofit and in the b7, it goes to 18. I think I'll go back to my diy cut down panel as it looks pretty good anyway.
  17. seems the retrofit business is alive and well!.. Talking of which, I may have a spare double din climate panel if anyone is short of one..(with heated seats) pm if interested.
  18. ok, so basically you need rights in the active directory to add objects into the container you are trying to join (its not specifically vista) and you need to be an administrator (ideally) of the machine/laptop you are logged onto. You could actually manually add the machine object name into the active directory container and then rename the pc to that name and then join the directory.. Vista works fine on the whole ..
  19. I did mine diy in the RS. Not 'easy' but straightforward enough. If you have symphony already, its much easier; if not then think carefully. You will also need VAG com (full version with the proper lead) to code it correctly.
  20. Took the car back today and even in the wet it was a lot of fun. Asking the dealer now about a deal on the demo car so I'll wait and see.. Picked up an A3 2.0T today as a comparisson and what can I say other than it isnt!. Feels very flat and non special; only plus point is it has Quattro. I may well be coming back to VW's!.. The spec is Diamond black, Xenons, folding mirrors, auto lights, rain sensor, Ipod prep, RCD500, Winter pack ?(heated seats, headlight washers etc), high line computer. I can live with the dash I think but the deal will need to be right for me to say goodbye to the RS4..
  21. Hi All, Picked up a demo ed 30 from my dealers today and have to say I am impressed. Looking to get out of my RS4 (due to the sheer cost!!) and want to get something sensible for a year or so.. The Ed 30 with its S3 engine seemed worth a punt. Was impressed with the punch at low speed andset off on my commute along the motorway to work. Ran at about 70-80 and the mpg saw mid 30's to 40's which is a nice change. Putting my foot down to overtake at 75/80 picked up straight away and provided more than enpough grunt to get out of trouble. Looks... Nice; interior is a bit dissapointing in some ways but the seats are quite comfortable (dash a bit plasticy but dont flame me! :-) Overall; looking forward to the drive home. Glad to say this is the manual as I am not keen on DSG personally. May well see what figures are like as I am liking this, and also the possibility to Revo it. Picking up an A3 2.0TS line quattro for the same demo tomorrow so I'll see if its time to come back to VW having been Audi for a good few years now!.. Wonder if the Ed 30 will be a future classic.. if it was 4wd It would be a done deal!!...
  22. Someone has probably explained this before but is there an easy way or step by guide for replaceing the sideligh bulbs on Bi Xenon lights (with Daytime running lights) and non adaptive. Thanks..
  23. i have 2 britax isofix duo's for my two; they are superb; solid as a rock. Check if you have the isofix clamps in the back seats (where the backrest meets the bottom) or check the glovebox for an airbag de activation switch). The brackets can be retrofitted also so search this forum for more info; been discussed a lot.
  24. The print functions of the all in ones are supported under vista. The SW that runs the scanning engine is not available yet. You would be amazed at the issues with vista and drivers!...
