It seems a lot and am willing to either wait or go indie. However, the car is still under warranty ... Any advice gratefully received. Brake pedal responsiveness and effectiveness drops the longer you wait. Brake fluid absorbs water, so starts to loose its vicosity. I think? Mook Posted September 20, 2007 Report Share Posted September 20, 2007 Like he says Manufacturers have guidelines, so you need to stick to them. If you're not happy to pay their labour rates, use your independent, but ask them to use Audi supplied brake fluid, to keep your warranty in tact. [/ QUOTE ] Correct - but, so you avoid all the malarkey if it comes to a warranty claim via a main dealer, you're best off keeping the original invoice/receipt for any work the independent has done.
