D1MAC
[ QUOTE ] Maybe it's the wife of the owner because he's out working to afford to put the petrol in it? [/ QUOTE ] Probably not a million miles away from the truth. A lot of blokes in trades who are doing reasonably well will look at the up to £25k ish market as an attainable & vaguely sensible bit of fun - so R32, used M3s, S3s, Focus STs, Golf GTIs, Scoobys etc Don't drive 'em during the week as they're too busy frustrating the life out of people in max attack Trannys, Vitos etc so Mon-Fri the Mrs trundles round in the car. Certainly happens with ASBOs. Alternatively, the ladies may just like the rumble & vibes of multi-cylinders () or certainly in some cases, it may professional ladies whose Co car schemes permit a bit of excitement but don't offer the more traditional rides such as the TT - I know it happens with our scheme
RedRobin
The Mk4 upper versions of the Golf, including the Mk4 GTI were very popular with successful female professionals, invariably in dark colours. All very smart and fashionable.....and sexy. But the R32 is more hardcore. First time I've heard the term "porridge gun" - A good one!

garcon magnifique
Funny that - I wouldn't have described the Mk5 R32 as particularly hardcore. Quite a grown up jack (or jackie) of all trades I thought. In some ways the GTI is more hardcore than the R32. Thinking about it - that seemed to swap from the MkIV to the MkV. RedRobin
....I meant the Mk4 R32, garcon . But I guess that every Mk4 .:R that I know is modified (and belongs to a TSNer, especially to BIALI boys!)
Chav
The MKV R32 and MKV GTI look girlie in comparison to the MKIV! MKIV R32 is gorgeous. MKV R32 isn't.

[/ QUOTE ] I will learn to read rather than speed read I suppose they are a default choice as a second car for those with mahoosive mortgages and no need or desire to think a bit differently. The current choice for those that didn't/aren't creaking would I suppose (at a prof level) be the TT or (if a bit older) the A4 cab (esp the TDi since a lot of the ladies don't understand or give two shakes of a monkey's tail about the relative sounds). On a slightly lower scale, choice seems to be one of those horrid Pug elephant roofs, maybe the Corsa equivalent or an over priced million mile Mini 2. For me, woman in an S2K, especially if prepared to give it the beans it wants.
Woppum
I am biased but the mk4 r32 is a classic imho. It holds a sentimental candle in my heart as it was the first and last new car i have bought. I miss it gratly. in a dream world I would have kept it. Wonder what she is doing now? burble
I often see a few R32's when driving about and am yet to see a woman driving a Mk IV but have seen a black and an MBP Mk V being driven by the fairer sex. I can only conclude that my car is the girlier of the two! My girlfriend doesn't want to drive the .:R! She absolutely adores the noise (wiat until Thursday when APS shove a Milltek on!) but she doesn't like the idea of DSG for some reason.
Mattchaps
[ QUOTE ] Since selling my R32 in November I have seen more and more R32's being driven by women, in fact I would say 80% of the R32's I have seen in the last 3 months have all been driven by women, glad I sold up... [/ QUOTE ] Around Kent I've seen MkV's being driven by both men and women, however all the MkIV's I've seen so far have been driven by men (apart from when I met Golfgirl at Awesome)
Cuprabob
Around the Glasgow area I've seen a couple being driven by pretty women, in fact one may be Fastlad's other half. If so you have done well :-)
BrakeSnake
sorry to break up the off topic line of this thread which predictably got onto cars... but, back on to women who look sexy driving performance cars, i'm surprised with 5 pages to this, has no one mentioned that sexy goddess Sabine Schmidt... I'll say it again... SABINE SCHMIDT, driving fast cars!!?? Now she gives me the horn....

burble
I saw a lovely looking girl driving an Evo FQ320 when I nipped out to get lunch. I don't really like Evo's but that's a winning combination!
