Quattrophenia
What do people think? Bought my Meteor Grey A5 3.0Tdi Sport (with 19"s) a couple of weeks ago and it came de-badged... but have since re-badged it and am still not sure... Full badge, full de-badge or just have Quattro badge? (see attached)
kenny_boon
ive ordered mine with no badges. i think the car looks cleaner and more balanced at the back without them
cruiser647
Badge and be proud! Although saying that, my 6 and the 2.8 bit have fallen off mine! It is a tad older with more miles!
Mo-S3
Leave them on. Seems to make the car look a bit better imho. If it was an S5 then i'd be saying debadge.
Merlot
I always leave the badges on.
kenny_boon
its down to personal taste really, all my cars have been debadged, i just like the uncomplicated look it gives. i have no reason to keep them on tbh. do what ever you prefer mate
18ME
I just entered the wrong one on the poll ...I said badge but I meant to say de-badge. Reason being is that I had (a few years ago) a 1.9tdi quattro A4 and it all looked too fussy on the back so I de-badged it all. Leaving just the quattro badge on the back just looks a little silly IMO. The black one was a 3.0 quattro but I bought that second hand and that was already de-badged. I thing it just looks cleaner on the rear.
jwo
De-badge for sure - or put a 1.8T badge on the back! S3 near me has a rare collection of badges on the back - RS3 mtm Quattro etc. Strange peculiar
garcon magnifique
Not an option on the poll, but I'd just have the A5 badge and remove the 3.0TDI quattro badges.

Quattrophenia
Cheers to all who voted so far - doesn't seem that much in it and am as confused as before..! Will do some playing around with badges at the weekend. I actually think the Quattro badge on its own doesn't look to bad (take a look at the Nuvolari concept car). kenny_boon
if you are keeping the quattro badge maybe fit it in the middle under the audi badge?
haribohoward
I think the reason the car looks 'cleaner' when it is debadged is all down to symmetry. Have you thought anout having just the Quattro badge in the centre (see attached)??

My A6 has been de-badged of the A6, (through age, not choice) and just the quattro badge remains on the tailgate drivers side. Looks OK actually. Scotty
I've ordered an A4 (also in Meteor Grey) and I couldn't decide on the badges. I've ordered with them all on so that I can debadge without cost if I choose to. In the pics above I think the quattro on it's own looks poor. Not sure why you'd want to debadge but keep a badge?? The central quattro badge looks like a Halfords by fake being put there. All on, all off or just the A5 badge would be the only options I'd consider. haribohoward
Im not sure it looks fake (maybe would look better if I had properly Photoshopped the picture) but I agree that its all or nothing with the badges. Personally, I think completely debadged would look cool. Lets face it, the 3L Quattro would shift fairly nicely on the open roads, so the GTIs in the middle lane wouldnt even see if it had any badges! JonC
Not an option on the poll, but I'd just have the A5 badge and remove the 3.0TDI quattro badges. Ths is the first time I have agreed with Garcon I would agree with leaving the A5 badge and ditching the TDI bit.
jon_bousfield
Just ordered 3.0tdi quattro sport myself and had same dilemma!! Decided to leave the badges on and then take them off later if I don't like them. I'm getting ibis white and they actually look OK on that I think. Agree with others though that its all or nothing - half the badges just looks a bit odd.
Chav
reasons not to debadge.... a) you're not in germany. it was cool on certain autobahns about 5yrs ago as fastest cars were often debadged. b) adding/removing a couple of badges makes sod all difference to the look of the car for 100% of the population except for the person who's taken the badges off. c) without badges, most people will assume its the lowest model with relevant exterior d) possibly similar to putting fog lights on in day to make car look "better", or spacing your reg plate to look that bit "cooler". Booster
Personally, I think that a car like the A5 being badged as a sooty makes it less nickable. I've left mine on. If I had an S5, I'd swap the badges for 3.0TDi ones.
shao_khan
debadge - looks cleaner, always debadge mine or order them with none.

Tricky1
daft question, but who put your badges on if you bought it de-badged? the reason i ask is i've just bought an a4 1.9tdi quattro with nothing on the back, but i want to put at least the engine size and quattro back on. where do i get the badges? who'll put them on properly for me? or is it straightforward? thanks guys
