Make the most of the fine weather...

...the weather's about to turn. It's quite windy in Edinburgh today, but I managed to get the weekly detail in today, but only a snow foam to the body, Megs APC in the wheel arches and Bilberry wheel clean to the alloys, followed of course by a jet wash. Decided to let mother nature dry the car as I didn't want to risk paint damage due to dust/grit being thrown around with the wind and it being trapped in a MF towel. Having no garage is a real pain - not so common extras with Victorian property! I'm now perusing property portals on the hunt for our next home and guess what the main criteria is? Yep, double garage with soak-away drain! Anyone else manage to sort the car out this weekend?

...pollen is bad. I just tried the new "Gloss It" range of products

I was thinking I must try them as my nose won't stop streaming recently and then I read further! :roflmao:

I get hayfever early season (tree pollen) so hopefully I'll be over it fairly soon.

Dave, let me know what you think of the Zymol wheel protecter stuff, i only ever used it once at a meet on my wheels. I bet the car is looking great with the Concours on!

Yes, concours is the nuts in my opinion.. a really deep shine when the prep is done properly. You have to make sure you don't actually over apply it as it will take you ages to remove the excess

The wheel stuff is good for slightly soiled alloys.. and gives a beautiful shine, but I have to admit that it's not brilliant at removing ground in brake dust. I used to use wonder wheels for that but i don't like the fact that it makes the wheels lose their shine... some one mentioned that its less aggressive if you water it down. I like the zymol stuff because it's all natural based with oils and waxes and whilst it's protection is first class, it's cleaning ability isn't.

Sounds like a thorough job Dave....I'd also love to see some pics. I've not had any personal experience of Zymol products but most do seem to rave over them. I will get round to trying some at some point +++

You seem to be favouring your father-in-law over your Dad and Sister, TT :P

LOL - just not enough hours in the day and can't afford to give up the day job! :roflmao:

I took pity on my Father in Law's Golf as it was getting into a bit of a sorry state for a 2 year old car! I think I put about £500 back on the value. I ought to have taken 'before' pics really.
