Yesterdays technology :P That's why mine never gets used... If it were better, I'd use it. It isn't, so I don't.

Simples.

Agreed, everyone who's got/had both, ditches the Xbox, the PS3 is a step up in every way, there's nothing the Xbox offers that the PS3 cant, except unreliability, bills, and noise!

Agreed, everyone who's got/had both, ditches the Xbox,

ALL of the people I speak to online that had both, ditched the PS3 in favour of the 360.

Their main reasons were...

The constant, long running updates, and the messyness of the online system that is not the most reliable and the lack of game titles available.

the PS3 is a step up in every way, there's nothing the Xbox offers that the PS3 cant, except unreliability, bills, and noise!

In over 6 years of online gaming on the xbox, I have only ever had one 360 fail.

You get what you pay for and as everyone will admit, who's honest and serious about online gaming, Microsoft's "Live" just works.

And for 10 pence a day it's a bargain!

As explained above no noise from the 360 if the game is copied to the hard drive.

Can the PS3 do this? (Just out of interest)

If you are a serious "online" gamer then there is only one console to have...

And it's not a Sony made effort :P

Ahh, nice one Mick.

How do I copy it to HD?

Agree on the noise. In every other respect, it wees all over the PS3 +++

Mollox

When you have the game inserted in the drive but not playing it, on the dashboard, go to your games library tab under my xbox, and there is the option to copy it to hard disc.

You will still need to physically have the game disc in the drive when playing it but it won't need to access it during game play... Hence no noise

I've honestly never met anyone who's done it that way round, and if your talking to xbox gamers, of course they'll say that, brand loyalty is pathetically childish when it comes to game systems.

I realise it may seem like I am being a hypocrite here, but I have had both, and in my opinion, the PS3 is infinitely superior, I have no loyalty to Sony, I buy every new system and sell off the ones I don't use, the xbox went after about a year, and i've still got the PS3 and Wii.

Never had 1 Playstation fail in god knows how many years of gaming.

You simply cannot deny that the Xbox 360 has had reliabilty problems, they are well publicised.

It's not the actual cost, it's the principle, the fact they charge you for something you already pay for.

And online gaming is exactly the same on either system, as (like I said earlier) the game designers determine how the online setup works, and provide the infrastructure for it, so on the same game, it's the same on either system.

The only other differences re online stuff, is the ability to download demos/full games/films/music etc, and while some may like microsofts site, I quite like the Playstation store since it's overhaul, it was ok before but not the best perhaps, but now everything is where you'd expect it to be, perfectly intuitive and plenty of content, and it also 'just works' .

Honestly not sure on that one, I'd say probably, but it's a bit of a silly workaround just so you can hear the game over the sound of the system, and that you still have to put the disc in makes it pointless and a waste of valuable MB on your hard drive.

Anyway, I digress, I do enjoy starting the odd internet argument as it's just so easy, but it does get a bit silly and childish sometimes, at the end of the day, if your happy with what you've got, what the feck does it matter what everyone else has got, or what it can do!!
