hawthorns cars limited : Mini Cooper S 1.6 JCW Chili Pack (210-BHP)

If you want a decent drink in Dhaka you need to get in with the expats- The International club, The Australian High Commission are all ok.

Veggie is the way of avoiding the shites and Dal is available in 20+ varients, the black one being the nicest I tried.

I'm not posting here anymore, so I'll add in nice motor (the Porka), dare yo mention what the ins was :roflmao:?? Take care and enjoy +++

On a sweepstake I'd opt for £6k and nasty excesses

Never thought you'd get into an Alfa again after your 147 GTA drive.

The Mito is a good looker, the Brera is even better IMO! Would it be one of the 'touched' Breras? Can't remember the name.

Yes the 147 gta was rubbish but half of the problem there might have been the power matched with a rubbish diff and wobbly suspension.

When I was in glasgow yesterday I saw one of those spyder things and thought it was a stunning looking car. Just popped in to perrys amersham today and every car in there was a looker and fun. I had just come from bmw test driving a 135 and 330d coupe which did nothing for me, the alfa's were a breath of fresh air.

The brerra was a special addition, itallia or something, full of carbon fibre, matt grey paint and black wheels. Looked really good but can help thinking its more than what I need and a bit too serious. Something about the mito that screams fun. 47mpg is apparently possible too!

Having said that it does look like its going to fall apart when you push on, just like the 147 gta:

Sad but true... :roflmao:

Still, you'll have a different "big four" to try and stay in touch with next season.

With City and Spurs joining the big boys and Liverpool and Man Utd mid table.

If Jesus leaves us I will be quiet worried.

Anyway, that Alfa looks nice Wopps. Nice city car for the girl about town ;)

That's not the best looking Alfa I've seen wopps.

What happened to the 197/megane250 scenario?

I see the fecus is off the list.

The feckus went out the window the moment i got in it. Awful, awful pace to be inside that thing. Felt like a plastic dustbin lined in bin bag. when that went out the window so did the french cars. I realised a nice cockpit it more important than i thought.

Went to see the alpha today and drove the 135bhp version. It was a nippy little thing and the cabin was nice but needed more power. luckilly the clover magiger is 175bhp however i think it is too small for me, possibly a little pretty and didnt like the steering feel. Should also mention that my spec came to a smidge under £24k!

Next I drove some brerra special eddition. It had 200bhp but felt a bit posh and wheezey. Lovely inside but id be left wobbling in the wake of all those double deckers round london. Not mad on matt paint either!

Then a call to VW who didnt answer so straight on the blower to Audi who I remembered were just down the road. 2 mins later im looking at this lovely sportback.

Wow that looks nice i hear you say! I loved it. Could spend alot of time in there. Wouldnt go for a sportback but im convinced red is the new white. Like this cabin too actually. I need a test drive but if i like it a) do i buy second hand or go with dream spec b) is it worth x% more than the next best thing? Below is dream spec, with same cabin as above car:

VW then decide to answer their phones so within half an hour im at the dealership ready to jump in a roccy 210. Was very impressed with the ride and power was fine. Again its just mad pricing, although my spec did come out over £1500 less than the gti. Think i prefure the golf though, its a little claustrophobic in the roccy. It had dsg which was dull, so stick it would be.

Bit of work to still do. The heart is set on the audi, the brain says 1.2 clio...

I'm confused! Do you want a drivers car or a nice interior?

Both really. Thought the roccy was more fun than the 135 and the audi is nicest inside but haven't driven it yet. The focus was no more fun than the roccy, more expensive, looks chavy and is **** inside.

Nooooooooo don't buy an Audi!!! so dull, don't be fooled by the illusion of a quality interior, as thats all it is, all our Audi's interiors look tattered and scraggy long before anything else, as it's all fake, everything's just covered in a film of nice feeling rubber which peels off.

Feck everything else and just buy that Brera, you won't have it long enough to worry about reliability, and anyway, you already have one reliable German car.

 Rocco looks very nice, much better than the Audi which looks a bit dreary when compared.

If the Mito is too small I suppose that counts out the Fiat 500 Abarth? Wicked little motor, cool as funk +++

bit of a ladies device though? Not me. +++

Roccy was nice just the audi may be that little bit nicer. New and used there is only a bit in it with options. I need to drive the audi, goign to see if i can borrow one for a day and see what i think.

That Brera interior looks better than the Audi interior. Matt colour - I don't get it.

Oh, don't listen to Tipex about Audi inerds. All of mine have been fine. 200K miles on the A8 when I got rid, and the interior was unmarked. Same (but less miles) with both A6's and now my current A6 has 180K and interior is as new!

It is nice but the sat nav system for example is total ****. A nice looking car with a great cabin - sadly, for me at least, that's where it ended.

If they only have you getting in and out of the drivers side, they should be ok, but once you start using all the doors, people getting in and out all day long, it soon shows up who's interiors are really the best quality, and sadly, everything VAG is right at the bottom of the list!

You'd be suprised what survives the cab life best.
