Blue
Guys, we're setting up a section where the members get a continious discount for the Movit systems the discount will be 15% on the entire range We'll have a similar automatic system as we have with blackcircle. the groupbuy is curently set on 20% for +5 ppl if we reach +10ppl I'll have to sit down again and negotiate some more current prices for the (20% discount) are: S3: 322*32 4S3 4pots diameter: 36 and 44mm 75.5 cm braking surface price:1840Euro 322*32 4M5 4pots diameter: 36 and 40mm 72.5 cm braking surface price:1720Euro where the 4S3 kit is the best since it got slightly bigger pistons (pots) and a bigger brake surface and it gets less hot than the 4M5 type kit for the RS4 back kit: 322*28 4S1 4 pots diameter:28 and 30mm brakesurface: 62.5cm Red caliper price:2240Euro For RS6 Front: 380*32 4M6 4pots diameter:36 and 44mm brakesurface:75.5cm price:3240euro 380*32 6M1 6pots diameter:28/32 and 38mm price:4200euro Rear: 322*32 4M2 4 pots diameter:28 and 30mm brakesurface: 72.5cm Red caliper price:2280Euro all prices are exluding 19% VAT only if you got a UK based company where they can bill to you won't have to pay the 19% vat to them Delivery can be done by post or by me (if i do it, we'll meet up at a dealer that we'll have to ask to fit em, it's supposed me to simple and maybe someone knows a person that can help us out) If i do the delivery for this buy i only need to get paid for my tunnelcharges the dealer also asked me to stress on the fact that movit sets are constructed in a way that the discs can get bigger without craking under heavy use, unlike kits with fixed bolts. if you need more info post and ask!!! if you want to order mail me: [email protected] and i'll keep you posted about the deal
RS4_Barry
hmmm thats not bad I thought dave had said the kit for the RS6 worked out at about 7K but this works out at about £4238..... i think!
Dave
Looks like an improvement.. but still expensive to replace a system which is pretty good to start with The best system for RS6 is : Front : 380*32 6M1 = Six Piston Monoblock single pad Rear : 322*32 4M2 = 4 Piston Monoblock two pads Dave
RS4_Barry
Dave, Tarox manufactures replacement grooved disks with ceramic inserts which are apparently really good friend of mine has them on his evo and is very happy with them - have contacted them to see if they would be a possibility on the RS6.... will let you know. Blue
guys if you want i'll ask the importer cause i know they also do FULLY ceramic discs for all sort of brands and a good site for money conversion is Currency convertor
RS4_Barry
Fully Ceramic are only good for track use IMHO as they take ages to heat up to an efficient operating temp so therefore are actually worse for day to day road driving.
s4dreamer
[ QUOTE ] Looks like an improvement.. but still expensive to replace a system which is pretty good to start with [/ QUOTE ] And you expected what Dave ? The RS6 is an expensive car and already has expensive brakes on it. If you want to better those brakes, I would have thought it a certainty that they will be expensive. If you want cheap, I'll swap you the brakes off my tractor Think you need to take a reality check mate
Dave
Yea agree mate... but spending £5000 to put mov'it on when they're not bad to start with is a big decision... rather put the money towards performance upgrades

Hopsta
So for the S3 they are either £1205.93 or £ 1127.28 (current rates) plus 19%VAT ? and then its extra for fitting in the uk ? Surely we could just import them and then pay the UK VAT rate of 17.5% ? No comment on Blues driving, or who's car it was in
Blue
yep, if i can have em all charged to a UK based company you wouldn't have to pay the 19% VAT so....

Blue
so in the end no one is actually interested?
Bushy
sorry mate, not really The reason is the price. In the UK the cost is £1830 + VAT plus fitting Generally you can pay £2200 and get the job done, also you have to go to a reputable dealer who can change your rear strut to a machined one FOC other wise its another £500 you quote for the RS4 back kit: 322*28 4S1 4 pots diameter:28 and 30mm brakesurface: 62.5cm Red caliper price:2240Euro FXConverter - 164 Currency Converter Results Tuesday, February 4, 2003 2,240 Euro = 1,469.98 British Pound 2,240 British Pound (GBP) = 3,413.39 Euro (EUR) Median price = 0.65565 / 0.65624 (bid/ask) Minimum price = 0.65110 / 0.65150 Maximum price = 0.65750 / 0.65790 £1470 - near enough carriage will be £60-80 so total is £1540 I gotta pay VAT or tax????? Also i will then get charged £500 for rear strut and probably £250 installation including 4 wheel alignment No cheaper and i dont have a local dealer who has to help me with warranty claims Sorry I feel it is a different case ith say S3 fronts which are £1270 inc transport This would cost you £1375 locally plus VAT and installation The VAT or tax may just swing it for your group buy mate And you will struggle to get 5 or more interested IMHO Sorry
DeanS3
Plus you need to add braided hoses and possibly spacers on some S3's Do they have Porsche or Movit written on them?
