GCab
[ QUOTE ] No Idea Gcab because, having clocked them, I'm too busy screaming <h1>IT'S NOT F*CKING FOGGY!!"</h1> at the top of my voice to actually look at their lights anymore [/ QUOTE ] Well... exactly. I see the occasional car with front fogs on and they don't seem any brighter or more penetrating or blinding than normal headlights. And yet they seem to drive people into a pointless frenzy. A lot of this effect seems to be entirely in people's heads rather than their retinas. What annoys me far more is when middle-aged hat-wearing dorks think it's OK to drive around with half-dimmed lights in murky conditions when everyone else has main headlights on. Maybe it's some sort of 1950s austerity thing that it's "wasteful" to put on headlights at 3 pm even when it's dark, raining, and impossible to see them in their fecking half-lit dark-green Nissans driving at exactly 69mph in the middle lane. Why don't we see more posts about them, instead of this foglight business. Putting the things on seems to be a gimpy group-think fashion thing, but to be honest so is the obsession with spotting and whinging about them at every opportunity. I do neither, and lead a happy life as a result.

GCab
Really ? I have avatars off so I don't have Shao Khan's wobbly anime tits on screen at work (seriously - I was getting comments about 'kiddy porn sites'). If it's the pic I'm thinking of, the car was off road at the time ...

Ari
[ QUOTE ] [ or maybe just park ilegally for just 5mins as they pop into a shop etc to get a paper. [/ QUOTE ] This bugs the sh*t out of me too! Double yellow lines outside a newsagents, and the fecckers park on the cos they're "just going to be 2 minutes" getting their fags or paper. Does it not occur to them that its everyone thinknig like that that means that there is ALWAYS a car parked outside that newsagent in the bloody way! As soon as one "just 2 minuter" goes another draws up., then another then another. So in actual fact, there is a car (or cars) permanantly outside on double yellows! This happened near me right on a busy crossroads, there is always two or three cars parked right on the exit to the crossroads outside a newsagent, all just there for "2 minutes", causing chaos, despite the fact that there is adiquete parking 30 seconds walk away. So the council eventually were forced to erect railings on the edge of the pavement to stop inconsiderate and dangerous parking. At which point the newsagent owner was in the local rag bleating about the effect this would have on his takings! After all, as he said, no one ever stops there for more than a minute or two. Anyway, back to foglights, I think the clue is in the name. And the worst offenders are those who drive in heavy rain with rear fogs on. It dazzles and it obscures brake lights. They might think they're being Mr. Roadsaftey, but how can they not realise that they can see other cars right into the distance that don't have them on. Why can't people just put a little bit of thought into things..?
Ari
[ QUOTE ] T But i have to admit, if its dusk, and i want to make my car standout a little more, then yeah, sure i put them on with just the side lights. In this way, it deffinatly makes the car look smoother, but i admit has no practicle use what so ever. That said, who ever loves practicle surely shouldnt be driving cars like we do!? If you want practicle, but a Volvo ;-) [/ QUOTE ] Oh, and this is one of the funniest things I've read on here. How is your Nova anyway mate? Looking good with that bodykit and big spoiler, foggies twinkling away at the front?
