CarMad
Yes I know there are lots of ideas as to what the next M3 might look like. Just saw this and wondered what others thought. Looks pretty nice to me, quite purposeful IMO, has a touch of the M6 to it but not too much, will have to see what the do with the back end that is if this is even close. Who knows. NewNiceMrMe
Ah. Now THAT I suspect is more realistic than anything else we've seen so far. Yes, it looks quite nice too.
Chav
It does look nice. very purposeful Hope the back doesn't look crap like the standard new 3 though.

Woppum
They suspect around mid 2007 will be the launch...
DaxTrajero2
Don't think thats the real car. here's some spy photos of the new M3 - note the bonnet bulge to accomodate the V8 http://www.germancarfans.com/spyphotos.cfm/spyphotoid/6050228.
CarMad
We don't even know what the Coupe is going to look like yet though do we ? The Saloon it appears might be quite boring as an M3 derivative from the spy / scoop photos I have seen. However pics of the Coupe are still very think on the ground as yet. NewNiceMrMe
That's actually quite an old pic and one of many doing the rounds.
TriGGa
yeh i doubt tht german car fans link is the M3 as it does not have the chrome grill on the side panels
Thorburn
Its most likely a test mule for engine, drivetrain, chassis setup, etc. The real one would have the side grills, proper bonnet bulge (rather than some metal tacked on so the engine fits, etc. Car manufacturers need to test on the road but they aren't going to make it obvious a year away from launch..... MOSE
Hhhhmmmmm, if it is the new M3, I wonder if this is the CSL version, with usual bagel holder?
John_Doe
Now I know this might be against the grain....but I like the look of that!!!!! Very gangsta!!
MOSE
If it is the new M3, then it is a very stealthy looking motor. Still reckon its the CSL version though.
John_Doe
Tend to agree there Mose

MOSE
Its amazing you know.....that the rest of the new 3 series cars look bloody awful, but somehow, that DOES look very very nice. LOL, there aint a lot of clearence on those rear rims are there?
John_Doe
On the subject of rear wheel clearance and how little there appears to be...I am tending to think this picture may well have been enhanced a tad......I like it a lot

[/ QUOTE ] LOL, yes a baguette, that is what I meant, sorry was having a "wish I could go to Brick Lane and get a Tikka Bagel" moment. The black car is not too different to the red one, that was a suspect photochop, floating about a while ago.
Woppum
I think the side vents, wheels and font spoiler all look a bit choppy to me. But I like it
Mollox
Actually, I've just had a play with the image and it might not be a chop after all...actually, scrap that. The wheels are DEFO chopped but the rest of the body seems authentic
MOSE
Certainly is different mate. I must admit though, I was expecting something a little different. As good as it looks there, it still has too mny of the common current 3-series "looks". Maybe this is the near-end result.
Mollox
Hmm, woppum might have a point about the side vent...can't see anything on the spoiler to arouse my suspicion though
Woppum
I found this one, it isn't much cop but i'll add it anyway:
