Lea Valley Audi

Recommended Posts

I today had an excellent experience @ Lea Valley Audi.

Was up that way looking at flats and stuff - on the way back noticed this Audi dealer. One of my sidelights has blown so I thought I'd pop in on the off chance to see if they could change it.

They did it while I waited. Took about 15 minutes or so.

Cost £7.50 (service guy made the comment that it must have been a gold plated bulb laugh.gif ) but they were very efficient and seemed really interested in helping.

Also, had a discussion with a sales man there 'cos I'm thinking of downgrading for a year to an S3 to save some cash up - seemed ok. He was certain the RS3 is going to be made but then again also seemed certain there would be an S3 too confused.gif

Anyways, after enquiring about the RS3 it was stated they needed 1k to get me on the list - that was the only disappointing thing really frown.gif

I did something i thought I'd never do - I just dropped them a fax to say great service laugh.gif And why not - we're quick enough to complain right?

Expensive bulb or cheap labour ?

If the bulb was free then labour was only £30 an hour !!

Good to see someone making the effort to comment on good service - I reckon that next time you are there you'll be treated very well !

Mac,

Mentioned this dealership to Daz at the last windsor meet.. I think they're brilliant as I started using them a couple of months ago.. I think that as they're a new dealership, theyre still trying to impress and get a nice customer base.

Also I was told by the service guy Ive always dealt with that a lot of new customers they have are previous customers who are extremely unhappy with some Audi dealer around where we live shocked.gif

Yes i pass this dealership on a regulaer basis. It's only been open for a short while. Previously it was a Mercedez Benz Dealership. I believe they have kept on some of the old staff...and just retrained them....maybe why they are such good dealers. grin.gif Just like the fact they put a huge Audi sign on the A406. In fact i'll go to them next...didn't really like Harold Wood Audi. NONO3.GIF

Ok they are rapidly going downhill for me and for stupid bloody reasons.

My reasons for switching to a cheaper car are now gone, so I want a beast. So far:

1. The salesman who sold me the cab has failed to call me back 3 bloody times

2. They have not sent me the manual for the cab even though promised

3. They have not sent me my garage activator even though requested 3 times.

I am becoming exhausted with Audi. I have spent so much money with them, and am willing to spend considerablye more. I don't haggle on price, I just buy what I like - I don't mind paying over the odds slightly if I get good service.

Unfortunately, I suspect Lea Valley Audi is my final delve into Audi. They have treated me well BUT they did it to get a sale, then they got bored. Fine by me (well no it isn't actually) I'll just take my money elsewhere.

Oh well.

Hmmm. I have reason to be pissed off at them for the moment(hood not working - in this weather rocketwhore.gif - but a few points in defence -

1) West London Audi do show aftersales interest from the Sales division - when I wasn't happy with changes in my cab after 4 weeks, it was the Sales guy who arranged for it to come back in, arranged a loan car (a Sales demonstrator rather than a Service loaner), etc. etc., and returned calls every time - even though he'd alredy made the sale. He also stuck to his word about follow-up arrangements (getting the tracker fitted, arranging a wheel swap, etc.) rather than losing interest after a month.

2) Although W London service have so far failed to find the handling problem (and buggered up the hood while fitting the tracker), they've been flexible in offering to pick up the car from across London, rushing it back to me when it was needed for a wedding, etc. etc.

3) And as mentioned elsewhere, I'm a new fan of Martins Audi in Basingstoke, who've bent over backward to help out with the hood issue, even to the extent of intervening to expedite a parts delivery on behalf of West London, for work done at West London.

So there are some dealerships who are interested in keeping your car working for the sake of the Audi brand, rather than an immediate sale...

Right then... These guys are new, they're my closest dealer and since I am NEVER going to Whetstone Audi EVER again I need to know if the consensus is that they're good. If so, does anyone have a contact name in Service for someone that actually gives a [censored]?

Not talking about Lea Valley here, but dealers in general. I've come to the conclusion that dealers hate people that understand cars and prey on the uninitiated because they can charge them for whatever the hell they like. Its a really sorry state of affairs because I think with the majority of us, all it takes is honesty and a little bit of making us feel good to get us to spend loads of money with them. Why can't they realise that?? smashfreakB.gif

Instead they think us 'enthusiasts' are arseholes cos we (rightly) give them a lot of grief when they [censored] up.

Anyway, back to Lea Valley - someone gimme a decent contact please smile.gif
