Luke
Ok, didnt leave the good old pen in the car when I sold it. So what do you think its worth?
v6tas
Well when i got my 32 the previous owner had taken the umbrella, pen and even the badge off the front of the log book which i thought was a bit sad. The mats were missing too but i made the stealer get me some new ones before i bought the car. The missing stuff i managed to replace via ebay for around £50. The pen you might get £5-10 for depending on how much ale has been drunk on a Friday night !!
Mook
They took the badge off the service book..? Sorry, Tspar but that is shockingly sad... Stick your pen on eBay for a 99p start price and a £3 postage cost and see what it goes for. At least that's £3.99 minus the eBay commission. There are often original R32 umbrellas on eBay for about £30 so you never know your luck. It's just a pen at the end of the day, but someone will pay a silly price for it... Craigieboy
The dealers actually tried to keep the log book from me, when I picked car up they had just given me some of the inserts in the glove box, then when I said I wanted the complete book they 'claimed' that it wasn't with the car, after a day they phoned to say they managed to get a new one for me, or more likely they took the one from my car out of whatever drawer they placed it in

english68
Price of a pen? The pen was the last thing I needed to make a complete set of everything - so I paid a fortune for it! (But do have a spare set of books now!) Good luck - try for £20 or so....

Gti_Fly
£84! hahaha. And the best bit about that is, the umbrella is PURE CRAP! it looks and feels like it cost no more than £5 to buy I wish I could have seen the guy's look of dissapointment when he unwrapped it! Gti_Fly
Oh and I can't believe the amount of hassle I went thru to get mine (umbrella+keyring) from VW. I got mine after 10 months of buying the car!! To add insult to it, the keyrings set was available at GTI international (on the VW racing stand) for £10! When some where going on Ebay for £30! I never did get the pen, but it's probably the only bit worth keeping
Luke
You're not wrong. It looked like it came out of a 'Everything a £1.00 shop' It was pure hype at the time and people were going mad for them. I did take some arty photos too . Luke
The pen is a real work of art, probably of the quality of a Mont Blanc, fantastic detailing and a very smooth nib make this the most sexy R32 piece of 'jewellery' you can own. A real collectors item

JaffaCake
I did say make me an offer...beer is always nice, preferably Becks. I don't even have a key for my new car so the keyring is total surplus to requirement now.
