Then the M25 of doom, and the A12 of hell doomed by some nincompoops who had managed to turn their caravan over and wedge it in the central reservation with their Cavalier forlornly looking on. P_G Posted April 28, 2006 Report Share Posted April 28, 2006 When I have to make the journet 'down south' I try to avoid it by coming off the M1 at 9, going round Redbourn heading toward Hemel and then take the country roads which brings you out at 7 so you miss the main bottleneck between 9 and 7. It does work as I was in convoy last week, lead car stayed on the M1, I took my route and ended up getting to Watford 15 mins before they did using the same route thereafter.
