TDiAvant
Neil, The internal shots are really shocking, It’s good to know the A4 stood up to the impact very well. Do you have any idea what caused the accident?
MrAvant
Neil, There's me emailing you about armrest's and totally missing what happened... Im glad to hear you are ok even if the car's a goner...
mattburrow
Take Care. Hope up have a speedy recovery. Good to see the Car Stood up well. Were you giving it some? Our you allowed to strip the car or do the Insurance have to have everyting out of it
Nelson_R32
[ QUOTE ] Our you allowed to strip the car or do the Insurance have to have everyting out of it [/ QUOTE ] I'm not stripping it I'm just removing items which the insurance company don't value like the Accesories; First Aid Kit, Rubber Floor Mats, Audi LED Torch, Loadliner etc. The comment about selling DTM Wheels was a joke Looking at the corner I went out on it seems like the combination of slippery roads, gravel and water on the bend sent me going straight. But all I remember is the car going straight and the last thing I saw was the verge
Durrsaku
You are very blessed to be able to write these lines now. All the rest will be sorted in due time. I like your sense of humour about it all. Take care.
RedRobin
I heard about your crash from John_Carter last night. Everyone else has already said what I would say - I wish you well. The main thing is that you are okay.
lottiefox
Nelson those interior shots are scary - you were so lucky. I'm suddenly glad I use the A3 tractor as my runabout car now and not the MX-5 - you can't fault the build quality on your car to save you in that collison. Keep taking it easy over the next few days.
Chav
Ouch. Glad you're ok!
adwhitworth
Missed this thread for some reason but all I can say is Ouch! Glad you made it out but it just shows how good having a certain car can be (despite the brand image owners have ) I take it they've called it a write off? Are you actually allowed to get parts from it or is it hands off?
spikeyboy
First chanve i have had to get on the net the past few days and read this Glad your ok, and as has been said good to see the A4 hold up - makes me glad i chose it as my car for the family now
Nelson_R32
[ QUOTE ] First chanve i have had to get on the net the past few days and read this [/ QUOTE ] Well, everyone said the posts were going downhill recently; thought I'd perk the place up a bit!! I'm going to miss the car so much its unreal Definately the best car I had and it looked after me, financially, enjoyment-wise and safety wise right until the end! MRT
Like a few others i missed this thread as i thought that you were posting about seeling the car. Ian_C
[ QUOTE ] Went back to the car this afternoon to get some more bits. Hit me even more than the first time to be honest [/ QUOTE ] Blimey. That angle shows how close you came to not seeing 2007. Audi engineering = life saving. Ben
Fook me, that's a bit scary! Suprised that there was as much space left inside the cabin as the outside shots suggest - you lucky chap. Makes me happy not to be 6'4" and 15 stone for once in my life - I think you'd have had more of a headache All the best with the recovery, and enjoy choosing the next steed after the insurance company have tried to shaft you All the best Ben
pitch3110
Likewise to everyones horror & good wishes. These suffolk roads we live on are not the best, in my youth done a wall in Whalpole in a RS Mexico & a tree in a MK1 Fiesta Supersport in Halesworth, but nothing like your experience. Onwards & Upwards mate.......
