Oli
Didnt need to, I ordr lots of cars from them. Make sure your dealers log your order with VWUK.
hman
OliH, How do i do that? do i tell the dealer or can i tell VW UK myself?
Oli
Get your dealer to do it. According to my fleet contact, the RSi is a definate, what isnt though is whether or not they'll make a RHD or even bring the model into this country. I suppose if your dealer wont do it, you can always do it yourself, and phone VWUK

Oli
....So if VWUK actually know how much interest there is for the car, will mean a stronger case for them bringing the model into this country

Ian_G
Am I the only one with a real signed and completed order form for a "Golf RSi 3.6 DSG" then?
hman
I've got a form with GOLF RSi special edition, colour white written on it. "price and spec to be discussed when build confirmed" Do you have any other comments on it? They cant have anything else down because its not confirmed can they? The reciept really is only if payment is made for the total paid rather than for the car, if that makes sense?!
Ian_G
yep... "REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT" and everything else TBC. White would be good, or black; in fact anything as long as that bl**dy bling front thing is lost. Its simply a receipt for the deposit.
Oli
I doubt VW will let you have more than one vehicle per person. When I stuck my order/interest in with VWUK, the first thing they asked was - Is it for you (ie am I buying it to make money on it)

Calm Chris
[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] chri5 I dont need to defend my corner as to be honest I dont give a f*** just putting my view across but clearly you are far better informed Personally I dont give a rats arse about the brands upsetting each other but if you look back over the last few years it clearly exists as a policy, even within the Audi brand. The original S3 was not 225 BHP until the TT had been for a while as they didn't want it to upstage the TT. The new S3 could easily of been 280 BHP from launch but the new 2.0 TT Quattro is seen as a more flagship model so no doubt it will have this powerplant for atleast 9 months before the S3 gets updates. I would be surpised that all if the Golf RSI would be allowed to be faster than the S4 but hey whay do I know. Dont think I care for 1 minute if the Golf RSI has 300 BHP, as BHP is not everything and if it is a better can than the competition then great. RS3 signed off by who AZ [/ QUOTE ] Az If you don't give a fig, then why argue the point. Reading English does not appear to be your strong point either. Getting hetty because I dare to criticize your sweeping generalisations that VW wouldn't dare upset Audi branding and usurp any current Audi model is rather girlie (without wanting to upset any girls ). Grow up, all your posts here on the RSi seem to be pointedly negative, Audi are better blah, blah, blah. VW wouldn't dare do this blah, blah, blah. As for resorting to near swearing, have I hit a nerve When your ready to back up your assertions with cold, proven fact then you will have the right to lambaste me for being wrong Right now, I just get the feeling your being a sour grapes cock [/ QUOTE ] I havent met many or any W****s on TSN but there is always one so to speak. Why do you need to be offensive just because you have or had a VW . Sour grapes on the S3, absolutely no way I love it. No raw nerve I am not 18 you just seem to think I am that stressed by it I am simply stating fact on what the VAG group have always done. I wish the golf RSI good luck and welcome its 280 BHP to the hot hatch line up. Personally I dont see the point in a Golf that is even heavier in the nose as the BHP will not be that much more useable than the R32 but let hope they do something magical. May I suggest you try and improve you how to win friends and influence people skills. AZ [/ QUOTE ] Right, the bickering stops here. 1st - You continue to throw insults, grow up 2nd- When the R32 Mkiv came out, it usurped both the existing 225 S3 and the TT225, proof that VW are not slaves to Audi regarding 'not' over stepping performance lines. 3rd- When the MkV R32 came out, the only A3 model anywhere near was the 3.2 which is a cruiser more than a hot hatch, so again VW have usurped Audi What I have objected to all along is the sweeping statement that "VW wouldn't dare do that BS that you've typed". History has in the past proved otherwise, and the RSi suggests VW will do this again . Each time I have tried to mention this, you have become hetty and resorted to silly names. Hence why you do come across as over egotistical, over brand loyal and so I suggested you were a bit of a cock for doing so. Your responses haven't been particularly nice, and I'd have thought you better than that. I'm not trying to argue anything, it's debate. We can both happily disagree on the matter . What I object to is the arrogant, matter of fact (even when it's a deluded falsehood) method you use as debate. Azures, get your facts right and post them. Posting conjecture and your bias remarks which hold no truth, is wrong . If you can't see that then maybe it's the Audi blindness that other TSNers have spotted over the years, and that I have finally fallen victim to. Calling people w4nkers, really does suggest a young age- it can also cause very bad feeling, please don't do it- one day we might meet up and there's no need or desire on my part to hold bad feelings. Please don't encourage it
AZURES3
chri5 This is to discuss the new R36/RSi so I will PM you to close of this bickering that you ignited. charding370
My dealer told me last Sat. that the RSi IS coming here this year and will have the 280bhp version of the R36 engine. Just not sure exactly when.
Calm Chris
Can anyone confirm the rumour that the R36 mill is lighter than the R32 mill. I'm pretty sure that Vortex were suggesting it's 30 kgs lighter than the R32 engine.
TP27
Chri5. I'm now making a call to my Dealer to find out if I can get any answers/updates. Too many variations in the information being fed into the "rumour-mill" !!! I'd really like a 'factual' spec on the car, just like you and others !! TP. Calm Chris
Here's the r36 passat based performance:- "The R36 takes its place as the fastest production Passat with a claimed 0 to 62 mph time of 5.6 seconds. The estate version which, like the saloon, is fitted with 4MOTION all-wheel drive returns a time of 5.8 seconds. Both are electronically limited to maximum of 155 mph" If VW do use the 3.6 engine, then with weight saving (Golf over Passat) and 3 door variant near 5 sec 0-60 should be available.
