Yes! That's what we wanted to see. The tifosi among us at least. Kimi drove a flawless, and distinctly Schumacher-esque, race from the start. And he's still monotone in the press conference and was more interested in taking a big gulp of the champagne than splashing it about, far better than the groomed PR puppets of the McLaren boys either side of him.

Fair play, Hamilton impressed with his performance. No doubt the British press is going collectively ballistic about his prospects, adding an albatross of expectation to his shoulders. It's interesting that we now have a British driver to represent each stage of their typical career path. Hamilton, fresh and exciting with great expectations. Button, seasoned and tested, making his way in the sport. And Coulthard, a journeyman, all but spent.

That was a great race. cool.gif Shame i bloody fell asleep and missed the start!!! Woke up 2 laps into the race! TYPICAL! smashfreakB.giflol.gif

Then, I fell asleep just as Alonso pulled into the pits before Hamilton at which point i fell asleep again! Woke up as the end credits were scrolling! ZZZ.gifconfused.gif

Well it was a great performance for Hamilton and Alonso and as already stated in this thread, it's looking to be shaping up for a great close season! smile.gifnotworthy.gif

I also felt sorry for Massa as well, Button was holding a large train of cars up for a while if my sleepy memory serves me correctly. ZZZ.gifcoffee.gif

I see Damon Hill is talking up a good battle between Kimi and Fernando on the beeb webiste. I can't see it myself, this year at least. The Ferrari is just too fast for the Maclaren. The ease in which the the Fezza romped away from the pack must have been demoralising. Personally I think it is between the two Fezzas.

Saw the race highlights late last night....Hamilton notworthy.gifnotworthy.gifnotworthy.gifnotworthy.gif Stunning talent!

Okay, I know Raikkonen is an extremely good driver and I love Ferraris but I'm still intensely disliking Kimi's attitude (I wish I could say otherwise and I'm waiting for him to change but doubt he will). Consequently, apart from wanting Hamilton to win, I want Massa to be a winner - He has the talent as proved last season. Button? - Is it just the car that's holding him back?
