Calm Chris
You did say in your mail:- [ QUOTE ] I/We DID NOT know that that the bag is fake, and I uphold the belief that it is genuine. How do you know that your buyer is genuine, and they are not trying to pull a fast one on you? [/ QUOTE ] Grasping at straws, but if I read that in a reply it might be worth consideration. Can you not back history check the bag? Where did the G/F get it, prove it was genuine and tell her to off

rottenbend
I agree with others on here, it has all the hallmarks of a scam methinks... Make sure you document/keep a diary of all conversations in case you need to refer to anything. Don't accept anything from her. It is her problem if the bag is a fake (if indeed it is), she bought it and then resold it (as real). A civil case has little or no merit and I doubt the police would be interested. I wouldn't fret anymore about it. If she threatens to take things further call her bluff.
Ari
[ QUOTE ] What you did is CRIMINAL and that makes YOU a CRIMINAL as well, so how do you expecct to be spoken to? SELLING COUNTERFEIT ITEMS and LYING ABOUT IT does not say MODEL CITIZEN now does it? [/ QUOTE ] But she's sold the bag to someone else and so done the exact same thing!!! As above, sounds like a wind up to me.
TDiAvant
Forget about this shark, it's a scam... Have you had any contact from eBay regarding this? Look at the other winning bidder, they have 3 feedback, for a £13 bit of sottware and a £50 bag... This is a scam, a good one but still a scam. rottenbend
Why does she want to send you back the bag? Surely, she needs to keep hold of any "evidence". Even a fake LV has some value as well. All she wants your address...
Waylander
A few things: firstly in her add for the bag [i'd save a copy of that] she also lists the bag as genuine and hence is as "guilty" as you [as has already been stated]. Indeed she has lied about the mode of possession of the bag. Not that it matter tuppence to you, but has she in any way provided any evidence that she has refunded the money to this mysterious 2nd buyer? I also agree that you need to stick to your guns that the bag you sold [with tags, right?] was genuine AFAUK and indeed she sold it on as such. She needs to prove: a) the ba returned to her is the one she send to buyer b) the one she sold on is the one you sold her. I doubt she can do either. You could always [if you need to contact her again] file a dispute with Ebay for failure of Ebayer to provide contact details and in turn hassling you. John_Doe
This sounds like a well rehearsed scam Ben....my wife recently had an ebay experience with a brand new sharp minidisc recorder/player which she goodheartedly posted out and it duly disappeared along with no payment ever reaching her, the cheeky baxters then tried to claim it was stolen and they demanded their money back!!! Money which they never sent in the first place!! Ignore it.......they will go away!!! Ebay is shyte!!!
UBM
She hasn't got a leg to stand on. Period. Tell her to feck off. I had some problems a while ago. Make sure your PayPal account is empty! The whole episode caused us three days of serious stress.
kermitfrog
I smell ... And dealing with scamming lowlifes day in day out, this has the heady aroma of grade A manure. Usual MO of a cheating scumbag is to use intimidating almost threatening behaviour in order to mask the fact that they don't have a leg to stand on (just check her first e-mail and resorting to "my brother's a lawyer" . Clearly a sign of desperation/mental illness) Continue to ignore it Shark. Police would end up arresting this moron for wasting their time. Markpaq
As others have said, I reckon she/he is just trying to recover their loss by scamming you. If they'd managed to sell it for £400 instead of £167 you wouldn't have heard from them.
Redavant
[ QUOTE ] She just text me: I need to send this bag back to you. Could you provide me with your address? Ebay has to compensate me one way or the other for this. They need proof of postage from me. My reply: I won't entertain this any further. I am seeking advice from the correct people before I do anything, and at the moment I've been told not to accept any deliveries. Sorry. Her reply: I'm not asking to entertain anything. U have my money that i paid u in good faith. U knowingly sold me a fake. I'm also getting legal advice but i'm trying to reason with u first as adviced. U cant hide from this. U'll live to regret this once the lawyers & police get involved. U guys obviously need the money to stoop so low. Keep the money. Let Ebay pay me by accepting this cheap trash you sold me. And then another: My brother think i have a strong civil case against u. He should know he's a lawyer & he'll do it for me free so when u lose u will incur all the court fees as well. This can be resolved now! U know u r wrong but hey it's your call play it how u want. My reply: May I ask that you do not contact me again. I do not wish to hear from you. Further BS do you think? Sounds like she's clutching at straws, and the more she winds me up the less likely I am to talk to her! [/ QUOTE ] You've got to laugh at that one, my brothers a lawyer, but I'm so stupid I can't be bothered to spell 'you'! Tell her to shove it! [/ QUOTE ] i thought she requested your details thru ebay?? that should give her your address? maybe she has got so many scams on the go she can't remember who's address is who's. she is so trying it on. ignore her emails and texts and she will go away, if she calls ask her to hold for a second and tell her "just to let you know i'm recording this call for my own records" that normally gets people to think before they speak!! it must be rubbish at the moment but she wil soon find someone else when she knows she is getting nowhere with you! good luck
JamesB
I think on balance that I'll stick with my first instinct that she is a scammer but, if you browse through her purchases, you could be forgiven for thinking she is just someone who likes to buy labels. The fact that she hasn't made many sales raises the possibility that she isn't doing this to all of her sellers. However, the language she has used and her unwarranted aggression makes me think that, even if she isn't a scammer, she doesn't really deserve the time of day from you. I reckon you are handling this very well and there is no way you will, or should, end up losing out because of this.
Paul
[ QUOTE ] At least I won't have Paypal chasing me for money, as the transaction didn't go through them. [/ QUOTE ] feck her off out of it. You sold goods in good faith, and your word has just as much value as hers. whats to say she hasnt swapped it. that first snotty email would have got my back right up, ( It did as i read it! and i am a third party!) tell her to herself. MrAvant
when and if the bag arrives tell her its not the one you sent.
cruiser647
Ifyou get her to send the bag back, get her to send it to a DHL/Citilink depot. You can collect it from there. She then does not get your address. Tell her it is NOT the same bag, as you had marked it with UV pen under one of the internal pockets - which is now missing. Then you can sell the bag again! durtydurty
IIRC eBay will ban anybody who has incorrect contact details registered with them, if you say her phone number is incorrect or indeed the addy is also wrong contact ebay they will then chuck her off and then she has no way of getting to you or getting any money back. I think thats how it works!!
