Sponge
I currently have the free one month trial, but wondered if those of you that have had your consoles a while currently think it's worth paying for?
Dave
Without doubt, x-box live is superb in every detail. You really can't make the most of your 360 without it
Sponge
Is there anyway to reduce the cost of buying points? Like purchasing vouchers from a retailer through Quid Co? PS Where do you get the code for your signature from?
Snail
[ QUOTE ] Is there anyway to reduce the cost of buying points? [/ QUOTE ] Places like Play.com sell them slightly cheaper. (as they do with PS3 and Wii points too i believe) I tried buying some points from the US, but you cant use them
Sponge
Have you bought any off ebay? They state immediate delivery via email. Doing it through the console is £17 for 2000 points, but Play only charge £16.99 for 2100 which is slightly cheaper.
Glovepup
Xbox live is awsome and takes the xbox 360 to the next level. I generally play online rather than single player!

[/ QUOTE ] Online gaming is a very hit and miss thing. With a good bunch of people, its probably the best thing ever. Most people online are annoying competitive tw@ts, who only play to win, even if it requires cheating. Get a good friends list together (pretty much everyone i've played from TSN, id happily play again), and its cracking .

Snail
[ QUOTE ] How much does Xbox live cost??? [/ QUOTE ] £50 a year, although play.com tends to do it for about £40. If you look hard enough, Play/Amazon still have some special PGR2 packs, which include PGR2, and a years XBL, for £

Sparky
[ QUOTE ] Why is that? [/ QUOTE ] Less games at the moment.
Mac
Less games? I'm not sure that's it - I actually blame Bioshock CoD3 on the PS3 is stunning - as is Ridge Racer and the few other titles I've got. Only reason I'm stuck on the XBOX I think is cos of Bioshock and Forza 2.
Dave
Is COD3 better on the PS3 than the X-box? cause it's pretty special on the x-box as it is!
Sparky
There a a fair number of decent games due shortly. Smitten, I've access to both machines, and apart from a better selection (at present), the PS3 does it for me due to a number of reasons, but each to their own. Both are damn fine consoles and you'll be happy with either.
Chelsea Mick
Just do it! Xbox live is the ultimate in gaming. Not only can you race against your friends you can switch games and shoot them..... legally At the same time as giving them a playful bit of banter (and if you really don't like someone, give them a load of sh*t too) If you think you are good at a certain game, try to play it online. There will always be someone better than you I have actually made some really good friends thanks to live. Not just virtual friends but in person. It is a proper community all in it's own right. Sponge
Is there a quick and easy way to add Friends? Doing it via the console is too slow and awkward.
Chelsea Mick
Just press your button of light on your controller, tab down to friends and then there is an option to add a friend there. Just a few clicks away. Or If you are registered on xbox.com and have linked your gamertag to your email address you can do it via the website. Mucho easier typing on a keyboard than the console.
