I picked the car up last night. I got a great responce from all forums over the 2 colours but in the end the green pipped it! The pics really are not great as I took them just before my 7am meeting but will get some good ones up soon. I cant clean the car for a few days, Friday will be the first day where I get it all posh for Donny Sat. Well I hope you like it! I do, just needs tints now so everyone dosent see me giggling at the lights!

....I really love that colour scheme!

The only part I don't like is the 'Roman' serif font used on the rear and bonnet - It looks too old fashioned. I speak as an ex design pro who has done things like Class 1 Power Boat racing liveries, private JetRangers etc for the filthy-rich.

Side view looks awesome imo :notworthy:

The font is the River Island font so need that for the brand.

woppum, are you using the car in some level of racing?

Nope. The car is used:

- day to day - circ 15k miles p/a

- track work - some have a big following and have many spectators

- Meets, events and trips.

The plan is to generate intrest on the road, which looks like its working. Instead of mouthing Ferrari people are now mothing ' River Island ', which is right. People are stopping, taking pics on their phone. Outside the supermarket last night there were a few people having a look etc. On track people take pics, put them on the net and hopefully talk about it. This is all a marketing exorcise. After that we shall see....

that looks good mate, quite suprised, thought the green would have looked a bit dodge but the jobs looks like its been carried out perfectly

would still like to see an orange version at some stage though, how about a summer / winter colour scheme?

what's the 301 stand for?

It was a proposition, by me that went the board and passed with flying colours. I obviously do get a benefit, however River Island get the real benefit. There are massive draw back with having a car like this too, as you can imagine. I did it for the company.

If the car is a success, if the board offers again, I may change the wrap. Brand identity does evolve like the stores so there is no reason why not if it works.

301 stands for the Address of the Flagship store in Ox St...

There's a company that will pay about £250 per month if you agree to have your car covered in a marketing graphic - Only one brand, not loads like sponsors on racing cars. Free petrol anyone?

Do you reckon I could find someone willing to put a wrap on my pug for 250 a month :roflmao:

Trust me, I've looked into exactly the same and sadly that is a very tenuous link. There's very little media value in wrapping a track car.

Of course, if you're looking for somewhere to advertise, give me a call :P

;)

OK, last question - did you approach River Island or do you have something to do with the company. Either way, the car looks pretty cool.

Absolutely cracking fella!

Actually reminds me of something from Days of Thunder for some weird reason. I think its due to being a wicked split of colours enveloping the whole car and concentrated on one sponsor rather than loads all over it.

I could never drive a car with loads of sponsors all over it...but I certainly could drive one with an awesome design like that coverign the whole car.

A gutsy idea and paid off a treat!
