bigface
i was thinking Days of Thunder as well, either way i think it looks good! Woppum
Trust me, I've looked into exactly the same and sadly that is a very tenuous link. There's very little media value in wrapping a track car. Of course, if you're looking for somewhere to advertise, give me a call Molly it depends where you go and who covers it. For example - There was a Donny day a few weeks back I was supposed to go to. It was an afternoon sess between drift races and had 40,000 sold out tickets. Then there is the Olten track day next month which is being covered by BMW magazine. Again at Monza european motoring press are invited to the day... Woppum
OK, last question - did you approach River Island or do you have something to do with the company. Either way, the car looks pretty cool. I work for River Island, so thats why I decided to approach them...
Brabus
I'm not familiar with River Island as they don't exist in Switzerland. Would Zara be a good comparison?
theduisbergkid
Wopps, are they going to pay to put your car right once you come to sell it on ? I'm not sure I would done something quite so drastic for a company you simply work for. I used a similar technique to help charity fundraising "Put your logo on our car in televised Rally / Track day" and got a fair few quid and it screwed the paintwork, still, that was on a Scumball-value car, not a nice Beemer like yours... gizze
I am sure the guy who owns River Island will make sure he doesn't loose out, Woppum knows him pretty well. Also you have to remember that wraps are usually put on to protect the paint, all those beige taxis in Germany are not actually beige, the are wrapped so when they sell them at 2 years old with 300,000km on them the paint looks like it has just come out of the factory. Woppum
I'm not familiar with River Island as they don't exist in Switzerland. Would Zara be a good comparison? Shoppers these days are promiscuous these days so Zara are a competitor but they do not offer the same thing. River Island in the UK I suppose is a mainstream, home-branded Urban Outfitters. Its certainly nothing like Next, close to TopMan, but better quality and slightly higher prices on average. We don’t do basics, so you wont find cheap or plain clothing. What we offer is detailed brand like clothing at just above high street prices. I wont do a speal, but here are a couple of pics of the shops. Its still negligible in terms of any real cover/frequency or impact and I won't have you tell me otherwise However, its pretty cool, and as a stunt it does have value and, as you say - its mobile so its up to you where you go and where you park it Personally, I'd be parking it outside your competitors - and with that in mind, surprised you didn't go for creative that featured clothing ranges... Woppum
We have graduate fashion week. Im going to get the car parked At he front and it will do something. There is alot on those lines. RedRobin
Its still negligible in terms of any real cover/frequency or impact and I won't have you tell me otherwise ....I don't agree. Just for a start, it's made people visiting this thread aware of the River Island brand. There are millions of cars on the road and many of their occupants will notice this car and the brand and will question what it is. Doubtless it's not expected to result in wild profits but it will contribute. Sure, it's not a major TV or billboard campaign but it will have effect and it is "real" imo. A company should take every opportunity to reinforce its brand - It all adds up. However, its pretty cool, and as a stunt it does have value and, as you say - its mobile so its up to you where you go and where you park it ....I agree. Yes, it does have value - Which appears to contradict your first statement. All Wopps needs now is a car sticker which says:- "DOES MY ARSE LOOK TOO FAT IN THIS?"
