I would hope so as well but it would be an interesting little irony after all of the talk of the last couple of weeks around Raikkonen & Alonso helping out Massa. Overall, a brilliant and hopefully honest end to what has been a somewhat shabby season in many ways. A shame that in retrospect, a season that has seen a talented young driver show his potential and reach the ultimate goal and a 'nearly man' in some respects show genuine title winning ability will be overshadowed by discussion & debate about stewards, the FIA and so on. Anyone else get the feeling that he was keen to stay on dry tyres at the start at Brazil? From the tone of voice on the pit radio (Hamilton: "It's dry", McLaren: "We know from the safety car, but the rest of the circuit's wet") it seemed that Lewis wanted to roll the dice and the team were taking the cautious view. He didn't seem at all comfortable taking it easy and not pushing early on, and at the end didn't have an answer for Vettel. Massa ran some very good races this year, but wasn't on top form often enough. I get the impression that the Ferraris were generally superior, but their drivers weren't always giving their best. Vettel drove brilliantly today, and will definitely be one to watch. Alonso's got his groove back, which is good to see, and he's much happier where he is now. But Hamilton deserved the title. I bet Hamilton loved watching that press conference. Three of the longest miserable faces in the world. Massa, the man who lost the championship, His arch enemy Alonso and that miserable **** Rikonan who has just lost his F1 title. Meanwhile Lewis gets to celebrate with his new girl friend.... Still think Massa had the edge and is such a decent guy but did not go his way this year. Roll on next year. As soon as Vettel went past Lewis my other half and I both thought the title was going to Massa - we were both very pleased to be wrong! Massa definitely deserved that race win, he was totally dominant. Hats of to Massa though, he was extremely gracious in defeat. A true sportsman. Have to feel for Massa, top bloke and his emotions in the car must have been unreal as he went from world champion, to just race winner in seconds :sauer: Talk about Karma... that'll teach the crowd to boo all weekend at Lewis ! Plus is was also due to the fact that it looked as though Glock was in reverse and handed it to Hamilton (people not aware he was on slicks). Ferrari's best hope would be to get Alonso in as first driver as, like Hamilton, he's been out-driving his car this season. Have to admit having finally manged to watch the coverage and listened to Brundel's last 2 laps of coverage where on the last but one lap he said Glock was still doing OK on the non wets and Brundle said it was not raining any harder how he managed to not only slow down by 18 seconds and rather nicely pull off the racing line when LH appeared I do not know!! Having said that I am not at all surprised as all teams have an agenda and am realistic enough to regard that as part of the sport like it or not. Glock needed to finish the race and not crash in the last lap to get him and his team points they desperately needed.
