Andy_Bangle
How many penalties did Pastor acquire in this race? This was a new milestone for Maldonado, who scored not one… not two… but three penalties during the race, all of which were driver errors. He also received two penalty points for his collision with Perez, which puts him on six and halfway towards a race ban
CarMad
Indeed a cracking race and good to see things getting mixed. For a race that is often quite boring that was great fun.

Andy_Bangle
If McLaren had as many points as they’ve had grid drops this year they could have been up there challenging Mercedes for the title. Sadly though, it’s not the case and despite it only being the Friday of the Belgian Grand Prix, Jenson Button already has a 25 place grid penalty and Fernando Alonso a further 5 more bring the total to 55 grid spots. McLaren are likely to change a few more engine parts over the weekend so don’t be surprised if Alonso and Button start Sunday’s race from Calais. Andy_Bangle
P1 to P3: 1.3s. P3 to P9: 0.3s. That'll be a fun battle tomorrow.
Cuprabob
McLaren are certainly manipulating the engine penalties to their "advantage". A total of 105 grid places this weekend between the drivers. At the end of the season, I wonder if Mercedes will have more points than McLaren Grid Penalties:-)

Cuprabob
Vettel's been taking inspiration from Kimi's media style. I could be wrong but reading between the lines I don't think he's happy his tyre failed.

Cuprabob
Another funny on the BBC coverage was from Eddie Jordan defending Renault by saying they managed a podium finish with Lotus obviously forgetting it's powered by a Mercedes this season and nobody correcting him. Andy_Bangle
Lewis disqualified for low tyre pressures .... Nah, just kidding but he may pick up a penalty. Mercedes under investigation for tyre pressure rule breach. Following guidelines issued by tyre supplier Pirelli, teams were supposed to be above the 19.5 PSI at the start of the race. However, an investigation by the FIA showed that Hamilton's left hand side rear tyre was 0.3 PSI below that mark, with Rosberg's 1.1 PSI under. The notification to the team was sent at 15:04, which explains why Hamilton was asked to push as hard as possible over the final laps of the race. The matter is being referred to the stewards and any punishment could cost Hamilton his victory. Edited September 6, 2015 by Andy_Bangle
