Omi
I've just read this after talking to Jon last night and it was mentioned... I've been in a very similar situation, and the net result was the same. - You have to trust and believe me when I say you're better off shot of her. Without meaning to offend or read too much into anything, you seem a bit like me in that you're not massively confident/lack self-esteem. You project this into a certain degree of paranoia about your other half fooling around, flirting, leading men on. - I've been in the same position with a few ex's now and we've ended up splitting because of it. Horrid part: In 70%+ of cases, I DID have something to be bothered about. I've found out since that girls were screwing me over (long distance is never a good idea, cat's always away...) and got cut up pretty badly about the whole thing. I went through a few slut phases between steady/doomed relationships and it slakes the thirst for commitment and love, but a few months ago I started out into a relationship with a girl I know from school. I had a crush on her then and still do, we're on exactly the same level. She expects nothing more of me than love and respect, but she'd get that even if she didn't expect it. Write Heidi off as experience and wait for THE right girl to come along. June and I are living together after 4 months and I've never been happier or more settled in a relationship. I never feel I have to worry about what she's up to, her friendships with males or anything. I mean, the girl just bought me a subscription to Evo magazine for no other reason than that she knows it's my favourite. Hopefully my tale of joy will lift your spirits. Go out and have fun, maybe even send Heidi some MMS photos of you with your face in a gal's tits on a night out if it makes you feel better, but just keep smiling and hold your head high knowing there was nothing more or better you could have done. All the best, dude!
shark_90
It helps to know that not every one is as bloody evil as Heidi. And by the way guys.. the other forum is http://www.diddys.co.uk/chat and she also frequents a board called cartorque at http://www.cartorque.co.uk/chat I'm still finding this unbelieveably hard but I know one day I won't feel this bad. Thanks for all your support on this one guys, I'm so pleased that I wasn't being totally unreasonable by being upset/annoyed about it all.
JaffaCake
My only suggestion would be to remove the dentists name from this thread, it might avoid a lawsuit.
GCab
Er, yes. Good point IMHO. And it won't necessarily even be you that gets sued, but TSN. Demon Internet were taken to court about something that was posted about a guy in Cambridge, and that was on the dodgy grounds that the ISP was the 'publisher' of something defamatory on a newsgroup. With a BBS like this, they'll have a much more definite target to go for and his name is Bison.
shark_90
Well surely I didn't use his full name, or mention the dental practice he runs? I will edit any posts with his name in. But surely in any case, he DID do what I've said, as it happened to 3 girls with photographic evidence.. So surely pulling out the law books on this one would land him in more
GCab
Doesn't do any harm to be on the safe side, and people do things when cornered. And as mentioned before, if he had the consent of all 3 then it isn't harrassment or misconduct, full stop. I'm not trying to defend his conduct, just to introduce a bit of realism. In your indignation don't get carried away with the "he did wrong, so I'm safe to say so" idea - in the eyes of the law he may be innocent, which may leave you looking silly. It's easy to listen to all the moral/macho support from TSN and to conclude that this means you're in a strong position, when in fact you're not. This Heidi person was quite happy to defend him, and if the others do too then there's no case to answer - there is no legal or professional case for handling complaints by outraged boyfriends, when the alleged victims are denying any offence. They're not children. Deleting the name is a good idea, even if it was only the first one. For all you know I might be a dentist in the same town and know of him (I don't) - I'm not a dentist either but I know lots of people in my field by first name, even across London. If you make him identifiable you may have to answer for it. Even if he did get struck off (first), what better way to retire easy than by taking your assets for libel ? shark_90
I've tried to remove his name but I'm unable to edit it as it was too long ago. GCab
I'm sure everyone here would agree with you. Just wouldn't want you, or TSN, to get caught up in it.
