Si_GTi
I would normally post on CPUSmoke but would appreciate a quicker reply really I am after some free FTP software that I can use to do some web work. I've currently got a copy of WS_FTP95 LE because every other newer version of WS_FTP is shareware! I'm going to put the latest version of WS_FTP Pro on for the short-term but IIRC it only has a 30-day licenese before requiring purchase... Any others I can use? Scotty
I used to use CuteFTP (many many years ago) but since Windows handles FTP sites, I've not found the need. What am I missing?

Rachel
I've been using the FireFTP plugin for Firefox on all my machines. They great thing is it appears to be a full feature client, and looks/works the same on XP, OS X and Linux. (and it is free)

Mac
Resumed downloads for a start mate - also multi-channeling from the same FTP source. Far quicker

Scotty
[ QUOTE ] Resumed downloads for a start mate - also multi-channeling from the same FTP source. Far quicker [/ QUOTE ] I've definately had resumed downloads .... I think Multi-channeling makes sense
Mac
File-Transfer-Protocol. You prob'ly use it all the time without realising Lottie Some web sites do resumed downloads but it's not many at all I don't think - I could be wrong. I just find it simpler and faster than the one integrated into IE.
Scotty
So after my posts above, I experienced problems with timeouts when uploading to an FTP site using IE7. I installed SmartFTP and it worked first time. Maybe there is something in these applications after all!
