Looks like pulling the handbrake up at speed caused it, you can only wonder at the stupidity. Again with the stupidity, WTF was that woman trying to do in the petrol station? Some of the comments are amusing, berating the camera car for buggering off instead of helping. Yeah, woman sets fire to her own car in petrol station due to stupidity, she'll get all the help she needs from Darwin. E-bmw
At least having the driver there to protect the rear bodywork will have eased the financial burden of repair slightly.
dazdot
WTF was he doing to roll a £1m vintage car? I understand using cars is better than not using, but that is taking it a bit far.
garcon magnifique
He was doing what it was built for. If you've ever seen Type 51s and similar racing you'd probably understand how he managed to flip it. In the best spirit of 1930s maniac drivers, the best way to get them round corners is to lean out as far as you dare and hope it doesn't suddenly find some grip when you're in a full oppo lock drift. CarMad
At least you can do that in an old racing car, try doing the same in a 2017 F1 car with a Halo device and the result might be very different.
Ian_C
Julian Alaphilippe two days ago, blown off the road riding Fridays time trial in windy conditions. Today, he would have been contesting to win the stage had he not swapped bikes on the final descent due to a chain issue. Today alone they climbed a net total of 4000 meters. The equivalent of doing Benn Nevis three times in a row from sea level. In 4hrs 24mins over a 160 km route. How they do it I have no idea
JonC
They're just a pair of strong legs really. They weigh as much as they're bikes, the difference being their powerhouse legs! We see them powering up the ludicrously step 21 bends in d'Huez each year (whilst we're powering down the ludicrously step DH track that cuts through/over/under it )
