Getting out of McLaren and taking the opportunity to become his own man has been the making of him. He deserves all the accolades that will come his way.

Unless one of the young guns comes to the fore sooner than expected, I can only see one driver challenging Lewis next season, and that's only if Ferrari can build him a good enough car.

Rosberg looks like a broken man. LH has totally finished him off. It was a great race and NR had got himself into a winning position only to blow it.

LH is a worthy champion and although he has 3, I still think he's improving. The rashness is still there but it's getting less and less. He's starting to be patient when's he's not leading and wait for the race to come to him. Like yesterday.

He's a great advert for the UK, a winner, positive and F1 need him massively. A bit like Rossi in MotoGP.

As above, well deserved victory and a great advert for the UK.

I'm still not a fan, and I doubt I ever will be, but there is no denying he is a quality driver, three times WC says it all, and there are many years ahead of him to increase that total.

He's much less of a bell end these days but something still doesn't sit right about him with me, I feel when he's thanking the team for his victory that he's only doing it because he knows he has to, and when he didn't do it in years gone by nobody liked him, he just seems a bit fake to me.

Anyway, I this isn't the time for that stuff, he should (and I've no doubt he will) soak this up, celebrate and enjoy it.

I think he is genuine, I think that has been a big part of how he has matured in the last couple of years or so.

He now speaks with a much greater maturity and authority, he's realised that life is a journey and to get the most out of it you need to be in the driving seat. (Pardon the awful pun... :uhoh: )

I didn't like him at first, but that was far more to do with the ridiculous media and fan hype that surrounded him. He has developed far more than I ever thought he could. Some would have wilted under the weight of that early hype, Hamilton has grown to become worthy of it.

Oh and one more thing.

Rosberg throwing the 2nd place cap back at him.  :roflmao:

Hamilton has been called petulant for years, but he could learn a whole new level of "how to act like a spoiled brat" from his team mate. Truly pathetic.  I think the fact he didn't react is superb.  Just donned his winners cap, turned and walked.  Feck off Nico.:roflmao:

Interesting that reports and videos from Austin show Nico to have been the life and soul of the after party getting up on stage and singing Living On A Prayer, whilst Lewis refused.

Just goes to show we perhaps don't see the real person whilst they are at their place if work.

I'm now lost.:roflmao:

What on earth does a racing driver not wanting to get up and stage and sing have to do with us not seeing the real person because another doesn't? :roflmao:

I could have just clinched my 8th World Championship, surpassing the great Schumacher and I still wouldn't have got up to do karaoke. I'd have also likely near killed any twat that tried to push me into it.

I don't sing.

End of. :)

Same here, don't do karaoke, never will, no amount of alcohol will get me singing, I will still clearly be enjoying myself, though.
