Scotty
I think Audi should have paid for the meal as they offered and left her to cover the drinks : Lesson learnt for both.
cruiser647
Dozy bint. I always think the point of going to a great restaurant is more for the great food, than the booze which you can get anywhere. Oh well, she probably knackered the thing 'go have a meal on us' line for all future customers. It'll be vouchers for the local Beefeater - food only - from now on. NewNiceMrMe
I think she did nothing whatsoever wrong. They offered to pay for a meal. They might want to think themselves lucky she didn't choose to fly to the Burj al Arab to dine. Maybe they'll think twice about damaging customers cars in future. Scotty
Who says they damaged her car? It could have been a customer clipped it whilst parked and simply as a gesture of goodwill Audi decide to make that offer.
NewNiceMrMe
It was in their care (and Radio 5 Live said they have admitted they damaged it - but it doesn't say that in the article). If they didn't want a £700 bill, they should have told her how much they'd fund. Idiots. I just cannot see how she has done anything wrong whatsoever! cruiser647
She might not have done anything wrong, but she has taken a fecking huge liberty. And as I said above, spoiling it for everyone else.
Tipex
I think she took a huge gamble, unless she had it in writing Audi could have told her to feck off landing her with the whole bill. As it is, she took the p1ss but got away with it (well, half of it so far), Audi should have seen that coming and didn't specify a limit, more fool them, I hope Audi stick to their guns and only pay half though. As for 'they shouldn't have damaged her car' well that's a bit daft, Audi didn't damage her car, one of their employees did, or a delivery driver contracting for them, accidents happen, it's impossible to never damage a customers car. Of course they can, and should, take every reasonable precaution to prevent damaging customers cars, but these things will happen, I had it happen on a brand new Skoda Superb, I didn't take the p1ss, because I'm not a c*nt, I just wanted it fixed. patently
Audi offered to pay for a meal. She went and had a meal. If they offered you a free car and didn't specify a limit, would you take the base spec A1 off the forecourt or the RS6 that was sat next to it?

garcon magnifique
See I would have probably done something honest (or stupid, depending on your viewpoint) and asked if there was a limit. I have no sympathy for Audi for not stating a limit, but I do think she took the piss a bit. I'd say Audi should cough up and try not to be so fücking incompetent in future. He's the dentist and sometimes says he a doctor - which techncially, he isn't! The doctors' in the room where he is (and there are always some) always shout back 'no you aren't!' cruiser647
We're not a bunch of freeloaders. Oh, hang on............. In truth, no I would not have done the same (not even a third of the price, I defo need training though). I'd have had a very good meal and would have spent more on the food than the drink! Arch
She took the piss. Massively. If i'd been the Audi manager, i would have paid for the food and a drink, nothing more. They didn't have to really do any goodwill gesture like that, accidents happen and they'd fix it, so for her to go drinking Champagne and cocktails is overstepping the mark. Sounds like a freeloading bitch to me, who knew exactly what she was doing.
NewNiceMrMe
She should have said she only ate the starters but that the final bill was due to "advisories". Edited May 7, 2015 by NewNiceMrMe
garcon magnifique
That champagne was nearly as expensive as Audi screenwash.
