I think we need to let this one lie guys. Riz has made his decision and nothing that any of us can say is going to change his mind.

I would like to wish him all the best with his car purchase. 169144-ok.gif

P.S. If it was me I wouldn't have gone for either of those 2 colours.

Im sure Riz could have other reasons he may not be sharing with us. I appreciate people are trying to help him, but it seems it has gone a bit passed it. Not saying Riz is making a mistake but sometimes you can only learn from them (I have great experience in that...). Let it be...

I would personally never sell property unless I had to, renting it out and letting someone else pay for it is a vey attractive way of buyig property, but I try not to tell people what to do unless they ask me for advice. he only asked for colour opions so therefore I choose red out of the too, I had sprint on my rs6+ and didn't like it that much in the flesh!

I like Sprint Blue as thats the colour of my A4. Having watched my new car depreciate lots since buying it in Sept 05 its quite painfull.

Its your decision in the end and I hope you enjoy it but it is a sickener when you see how much you lose. I think im lucky though as i take the cash not company car which helps but still hurts when you see how much you lose.

He's a very young man.

What does he need a flat or an independent lifestyle for confused.gif. After all there's plenty of people that live at home until well past their 30th birthday EEK2.GIF.

He will get tucked in at night or / and a hot water bottle, a nice cup of Horlicks and breakfast in bed on a Saturday.

All the ironing will be done, as will the sowing, the cleaning and the shopping 169144-ok.gif

You can spend all your time out in your shiny blue fanny magnet grin.gif

Looking grown up, driving fast, cleaning youre kin exhaust pipes and doing some impressive speeds.

Then when you meet a foxy lady, can't afford a 'posh' hotel and invite her home.

Ssssh, sssh, me mam might hear.............

A car over a flat, youre mad or sad, I'm not sure which suicide.gif.

B0llocks to being PC and patting you on the back, your being daft pengy.gif.

I do hope you don't end up broken hearted when the Utopia of owning the car that is more important than life style, is proven false frown.gif.

If you dare start kicking out sob stories and asking for advice after September

We've had:-

Mum problems, must move. Job problems must move. Finance problems must sell R32. Girlfriend problems, help please.

So lets just keep to the car, otherwise I'm not talking to you anymore- ner, ner, nan, nah - ner, ner, nan, nah tongue.giftongue.gif.

Grow up, just remember you are accountable- so any problems wise guy- (that needs no advice) sort them out for yourself 169144-ok.gif.

Rant was due to my firm thoughts that he is wrong, very wrong.

But there's no telling some people, and the threat to 'cough off' is baby stuff. Sorry, but after the years of help he has had from the collective at TSN I do take the remarks personally and can't help thinking that he is behaving like a Mac word- Cock Monkey!

I am tempted to use the ignore button for the 1st time ever.

I hate to say but it seems very strange for a parent to let their son make such a stupid mistake.

If i was a parent and i cound'nt stop my son doing such a reckless and stupid thing then i would at least not take the money off him so i could build a garage on my own property ?

I would prefer to take the money and invest it for my own son ,so at least he has a chance of getting back on the property ladder.

There is only one-way this will all end and i think we all know. IMO i think RIZ knows deep down but i think he wont face it like many things it seems in his life.

The only chance he has is that he does not get his car till September and he aint sold his flat yet.

Once again thanks for all your opinions and comments.

[ QUOTE ]

What? Order books are closed? I didn't think it was going to be a limited production run? Is that it no more, finished before they even begun?!

[/ QUOTE ] Yes, Audi UK have closed the order books while production stops for their break and LHD production shift.

There are still some cars out there though. A few dealers had the November allocations still available.

The books should open towards the end of the year I think, and production will end towards mid/end of 2007.

They are only limited by how much they can build, which is not many..... obviously more than the previous RS4 which was limited to approx 400 UK cars.

I would still say it will be under the 2000 car figure by the end of 2007, but not 100% sure.

The number of RS4's for this year is 700-900 - but this could become 1,500 units if/when the avant lands here. For 2007 it is c. 2,200-2,700 for the UK RHD market.

This is reasonable amount of cars to be imported and is line with the supply for the BMW E46 M3 when it was launched in May '01.
