Booster
Yes. I have had absolutely no washer fluid left before.
patently
Would you believe that message over-rode the increasingly-anxious "low fuel" messages? Sorry - wait - it's a Land Rover, of course you would...
CarMad
Yeah I've had it go to estimated 0 miles of fuel left on the last BMW I think it was. There was a fair bit of coasting at the end of the journey that day I can tell you.
Andy_Bangle
BMW often go to zero*, although my 1 week old M3 decided to die with 20 miles still to go. edited to add, well mine do coz I never fill up - lol Edited February 11, 2014 by Andy_Bangle
E-bmw
I once did a track day at Cadwell & managed to leave on my final lap as a right hander caused the fuel not to be picked up & the car to splutter. Then drove 28 miles on the way home to Barnetby with zero showing & still managed to get there. However I was RATHER nervous to put it mildly as half way there I had zero on the range!

eldavo69
I've had my BMW go down to zero and then it displays -- afterwards. I read in the manual that 0 miles means 5l left so I chance it regularly.
Scotty
I've done 20 miles past "0 miles" before. I still had a couple of litres left.
Tipex
I regularly run past 0 miles range, experience tells me if I drive sensibly, it'll go another 25 miles before it conks out.

Mook
Not sure how far past zero (or 2 miles!) a Landy goes, but on all my VWs and Audis, the tank has always gone to 3 litres less than the capacity, so I guess there's a safety margin in there so ze Germanz von't be letting you run out of ze fuel, ja First time to zero in any new (to me) car is always a bit of a shiit yourself moment for me, not know for actual definite that you'll get 3 litres past zero
Mac
Mine says it has a 66 litre tank I think - never managed to get more than 61 litres in there.
Mook
It's the "I think" bit that you might want to worry about
DanG
Functional plastic dash that - but not what I would have expected in a £40k car. I guess its a positive that its actually working in a Land Rover product.....
patently
Yes, it is a bit. LR need to do something about that, especially when you compare it with MrMe's 5 series dash. Rest of the interior is lovely, though

Scotty
On one of my m/bikes I put in 1L more than it was stated as holding ... with nothing dripping out anywhere I guess I ran it quite close!
Ian_C
What was the most you put in the S4 Scotty? I've got 66 litres in the supposedly-66 litre tank before. The record on RS246 is 73.67 litres. And yes to answer the OP, I've gone 30 miles past 'zero'. Had a full fuel can in the boot, but in reality I was probably nowhere near running out
Scotty
65 rings a bell but I wouldn't swear to it.
NewNiceMrMe
I ran the 6 series for a good 4 miles beyond the "---" showing on the dash. I've had the 5 series down to 2 miles, but that probably means I could get another 50 out of it.
SirTK
As an impoverished teenager back in the day, I ran out of petrol during my motorbike driving test. Silly I know, but on my way to the test one of my plugs oiled up so I was running very inefficiently on 1 cylinder. Would have made it with 3 or 4 ccs to spare but for that.
