Tipex
Regularly see 911 FAN on a 911 Turbo locally, don't think it gets much better than that for a 911.

garcon magnifique
Saw K1 NGS on an A8 the other day. At least I think it was. May have been K11 NGS with two really close 1s.

Ian_C
Nice! I love the O and OO plates (letter O for Oscar) OCD annoyance - rather than put the three digits in the centre of the plate, and then put the GB mark on the left afterwards, the GB mark has been put on first, and the digits put in the centre of the remaining gap. So the letters aren't central to the plate. My S4 was similar when I bought it and the garage had made my plate up, didn't look right to me, so I ended up making another plate up
NewNiceMrMe
See, that would appear the opposite to my eye. I would think it'd look odd if it was central to the plate and not to the yellow area. That said, I can honestly say it never even dawned on me when I saw it in the image above, but maybe it would have done if it was centred to the plate... billy2shots
Agree with MrMe, if it wasn't central on the yellow part it would look weird. Ian your OCD must have OCD if you prefer it the other way.
chasdrury
But in that picture, the O2O looks central to the audi rings, so therefore is the plate not central on the car if the o2o is central in the yellow bit? Blimey, i've confused myself now....

Blimey, i've confused myself now.... Illusion due to the fact the number plate is recessed and the boot handle / Audi rings sit further out. So when viewed from straight-on, it looks strange. And when viewed from an angle the other side, it looks absolutely stupid A week or so after I picked it up:
NewNiceMrMe
But.... If the minor imbalance causes an issue...wouldn't you remove the S4 badge too? Shao_Khan once said something to me about the 645Ci badge and the fact it made him wince because it made the car looked unbalanced. I'd owned the car 5 years at that point and I went out and looked at it. I then paid for it to be removed. I'd never noticed, but once it was pointed out... I had the 520d debadged as a result (not because I wanted to hide the fact it was just a 520d, that doesn't bother me as anyone who knows anything will know it is a 520d or 525d anyway). I much prefer the cleaner look now but it isn't something I'd ever previously thought about! The C70 has a Volvo badge in the centre and C70 on one side. However, it then has the D5 badge on the other....but on the boot. It does my head in.
Scotty
For me the most annoying thing about that picture is the dealer advertising under the plate. Hate them!
Ian_C
I always thought the B6 looked a bit odd without a plate holder! Most came with, so I guess I was just used to it by the time I bought mine?. Did you use one on yours? Have to say, first thing we did when we got the present A3 home was get the double sided tape out and ditch the plate holder, looks so much cleaner without. And yes, I got it central with OCD precision lol

Paul
And that plate is back up for sale Paul, , saw it recently. Agree with the dealer adverts, I have got a set of new plates for mine, the only thing on it other than the legal stuff is a border line.
shao_khan
With regards to what NNMM said, that red S4 is making me tetchy, stickers, uneven badging, I'm reaching for the hairdryer just looking at it.

M8CKN
Are the badges on a 3 series just stuck on? Is it a diy job to remove them? Edited September 30, 2016 by M8CKN
NewNiceMrMe
You could do, very carefully. I took mine in to be done because of the length of time they'd been on the car.

NewNiceMrMe
If a badge has been on a car for a year or two, you'll find that you will see where it has been in some lighting conditions. The dealer took mine off the 645 and then polished the area up to remove the ever-so-slight paint difference. If I did it now I'd get the detailer to do it. Probably being a bit OTT in doing that but they definitely leave a marginal shaded area if they've been in situ for a good while.
chasdrury
Removed mine on our 2.5 year old 3 series with my fingernails and super train polish then some wax. You cannot see it from any angle and I have huge OCD.
