Mac
I loved my PSP when I first got it - watched movies, played Ridge Racer to the extreme. Few months down the line I find the only time I use it is on a flight or long train trip Am I the only one finding this? I've recently bought Ghosts'n'Goblins and Metal Gear Avid - Metal Gear is complete shite and so far GnG is feckin hard to play My daughter has a DS Lite - I may give that a go. Pity she wanted a pink one I may get a 360 I think? I used to have in front of my TV - a Nintendo, PS1, PS2 and a Dreamcast. I got rid of all cos I found I wasn't using them. Now I miss them I reckon an XBOX 360 in the new year. Right, I'm off for a WII.
SamD
I completely agree, my PSP is consigned to the cupboard. The DS on the other hand is always in my work bag
Mac
See I wondered whether I have an issue with the PSP console itself, or consoles in general. Am I wiiing money up the by buying another one?

Woppum
Hardly used mine since i boght ne a few weeks back. Bored with it from the off! Hopfully it will be some form of entertainment when abroad... The 360 is fantastic. Simply not comparable to the PSP in any way.

Sponge
I agree. I've only had mine 9 months and already I hardly ever use it. I bought a new game in the hope it would rekindle my interest, but it was short lived. It's a different story if I'm with mates who have one though. Playing against each other is great fun, but it hardly ever happens anymore.
Mac
I'll ebay it then - in time for Christmas So a 360 is the future then?

Sparky
I was the other way around. DS bored the life out of me, but PSP has loads for me to do. But I still play my PS2 more, but can't leave my PSP behind when going on a trip.
CarMad
I've really enjoyed the DS so far. Simplistic games where playability come first and graphics come second. Sad as it is I got a golf game for it a week or two ago and its had me interested for hours. As I say simple but good fun.
daveknott
What are you lot on about? The PSP is a great bit of kit. Get some conversion software and you can rip your DVDs to it. If you want good games, try: Syphon Filter: Dark Mirror, Lego Star Wars II, Toca Race Driver 2, Loco Roco, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories, Virtua Tennis etc etc - there's loads of great games. Then add in the fact that you can surf the net wirelessly, play multiplayer wirelessly, view photos and listen to Music + use it as a portable storage device and I reckon its a great machine. Add to that the fact that a proper Metal Gear game is due out any day - Metal Gear Portable Ops - and I reckon its a winner. Sounds like you guys just aren't utilising all its features...... [/ QUOTE ] I agree. Just read my Google Mail account on my PSP this morning and have copied a shed load of films on to the memory sticks, and some MP3 albmns too. I also prefer the sort of games you get for it. Wouldn't be without it now. Each to their own I guess.
Snail
The PSP is a great piece of kit. I think there are 2 let downs. 1. Its not really comfy to play for longer than 20 minutes. 2. Games selection Its got lots of nice (Gimmicks) features, but i certainly dont view photos, or t'internet on it. And the screen isn't big enough for a movie. I like GTA/Lumines, but thats about the only games i want to play.
Dave
Talking of which, has anyone else had problems finishing Ridge Racer. I'm pretty much at the end of the game now, racing the single style cars in a one to one. However fast or well you drive, they always overtake you in the last couple of seconds.. S3Bangs
When the PSP first came out, she who must be obeyed bought me a nice ceramic white one inclusive of the GTA, Burnout and Lumines games. A fair bit of money when you come to think of it. She asked me what I want for Xmas and I said I wouldn't mind an XBox 360. Big mistake!! After an ear bashing galore about never using my PSP, I wasn't suprised my wish wasn't even considered. Yes the PSP is a great piece of kit however I think it's functionality is a bit questionable. Firstly I have an Ipod, so don't need its mp3 capabilities, a laptop/Ipaq for internet connections around the house (Using the PSP for the internet isn't really that easy is it?) And as for the games, most I've seen/ played don't keep me on for long. I still want the XBox though!
eldavo69
I fully agree, my PSP is going on ebay tonight with 99p and no reserve !!! Spent a fortune on kit for it and got 7 dvds full of games and movies to go with it. I only ever use it on flights now since I got my 360 and that isn't often enough to warrant it sitting in a cupboard

shao_khan
Had use of a PSP for a while and never bothered buying one - yet I have a DS with me eevry day. The PSP is a great piece of kit, but I just didnt like many of the games and didnt find it entertaining after a few hours. Can play the DS for 4hrs a day on trip to/from work and never tire of it. I think it depends what you are looking for.
CarMad
I have to say that I have nothing against the PSP I have never used one and haven't got one. It was my other half that probably went for the cheaper option for my birthday. I do enjoy not having to think if its not got charge as it seems to last for ages and ages without needing to be recharged. No it doesn't play films but you can now surf with it if you need to. gizze
I have a psp somewhere, I keep meaning to dig it out for Locoroco but can't be bothered, but that does look a very good game.
MarskeBear
should have put 2 thumb pads not a d-pad, its a pain on shooters so i dont use it much at all now. use it for films as its fine for that.
