You have to switch off any FB preferences within the app itself. They're off in the OS settings (I have all push notifications switched off) but the feckin thing still clocks up however many notifications I've got.

FB are a law unto themselves when it comes to doing stuff

So iOS 7 beta 3 was released yesterday (I think, could be Monday) and it seems to have solved all the little niggles and problems I was having with beta 1 & beta 2. The system fonts have changed too and in my opinion they look great.

The phone feels a bit quicker now and it doesn't randomly pause like it would from time to time.

iMessage had a funny 10 minutes after installing the new beta and would refuse to send any messages but it sorted itself and has been fine since.

Beta 1 killed my battery, Beta 2 killed the functionality of my phone.

Beta 3 first impressions are - I've got my phone back, woohoo!

And they've got rid of that annoying .co.uk button on Safari search that I pressed with my thumb every time I meant to hit "space". Yay!

I still don't get why anyone other than a developer would want to risk running a Beta product, especially an OS, on what is a primary communications device. I couldn't even think of taking the risk. It'd be bound to crash when I was doing something important on it.

It's interesting.

It'd be bound to crash when I was doing something important on it.

That's not been my experience. Bear in mind the public betas are fairly well developed - they're beyond the Microsoft equivalent preview for example.

I've not had an IOS beta before but was shocked how bad they were. A dev I know thinks its been the worse up to 3 for a good while.

Mine seems to randomly switch off for no reason and not come back on easily other than that its a vast improvement.

I'll admit the iOS7 hasn't been as solid as the previous ones, but then again it's a massive change, rather than a feature-add release.

To be fair, if mine annoys me I can stick my hand in a drawer and pull out another one :)

Does anyone else now have a top button thats less than responsive? Looking forward to the next release, maybe some of my apps will work :D

It's a fairly common problem with the iPhone 5. Do you find it'll work better if you push a particular side of the button rather than the top of the button?
